I definitely would not want to read this book, but listening to it, made my long drives pleasant. Some characters were never followed through, and some were to much involved.
Just too wordy at times.
I'm glad I listened to it.
I like tying up all the loose ends.
Humphrey Bower is consistently good.
Sometimes the jumping around in time got disconcerting.
I do like the surprises at the end of Coben's book. I can never quite get the twist figured out.
Scott Brick is consistently good.
I never like supernatural books, but the good reviews persuaded me to try this one,
The performance was ok, It was the material that made it not good for me.
If you like light, and not mysterious mysteries, this is for you.
Smooth, interesting, dependable
Mr. Guidall is why I bought this book.
I think I might listen to all books by the author, as well as this narrator. Both are superior.
I hated for the story to end.
I do a lot of driving, and only listen the audiobooks when I drive. I couldn't wait to get in my car, and went the long way home more than once. I loved the author, the narrator, and the story, and will remember all for a long while.
The slow pace of the story never had any surprises. Mr. DeMille is using a formula with little variation in his characters.
I usually like Scott Brick a lot. Some of the fault lies with the story. The word "really" was used more times than I could count and always in the same voice and tone.
This book left me not remembering anything after about a week. Doesn't that mean something? Critt is a great narrator, however.
Stephen King- probably not, though I love long books.
Stephen Weber- definitely.
Disappointing ending as in many King novels, but great performance.
