Yes. Very good and plausible suspense thriller.

Which character – as performed by Kate Rudd – was your favorite?

I thought Kate Rudd did a great job narrating all.

    Any additional comments?

Very good 3rd book in the series. I don't see any more and certainly hope that Ragan will continue with these. Although there is quite a bit of jumping from past to present it is done in a coherent way that is easy to follow. I also really liked that at the beginning of each chapter there were quotes from real life well known serial murderers. I thought this added to the credibility of this book.

Dick Hill performs them all just great. I really enjoy his multitude of voices, both male and female, his different accents, the whole picture. He is a superb narrator and I search for books he narrates even if I don't know the author.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I hated putting it down when I went to bed but did finish it the second day. So yes, I just needed more hours in the day!

    Any additional comments?

I enjoy listening to this series. Kuzneski always mixes some real historical events (documented), some folklore, something biblical though not necessarily religious and some geographical pertaining to the area. Sometimes I find myself taking a break to look something up to find out if it is fact or fiction. Surprisingly many are factual. The story is woven through all of the above to create a nail biting mystery thriller. Everytime you think you know what is going on, you soon find out you don't. No one is quite who they seen to be. It's nice that there are characters returning from previous books giving continuity however this can be listened to as a stand alone. Very good and highly recommended.

Yes. This is a good fast paced book with enough suspense to keep you on the edge.

What does Joe Barrett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Joe Barrett's performance is Excellent! He brings such life to each of the characters. I thoroughly enjoy listening to his narration of the Joe DeMarco books and don't think I would enjoy them as much if I were reading them myself.

    Any additional comments?

I have had the first two books in this series in my wish list forever and was on the fence thinking they might be OK. They were Much MORE then OK! I have just finished listening to ALL 9 books in a row! All of the books are Wonderful! I just can't say enough about this series. Each one can be read/listened to as a stand alone, in or out of order but I really enjoyed listening to them as one Very long book :) This one is the last in the series so far but may be the best. After hearing about Joe DeMarco's hit man father in the previous 8 books this one finally details how he became a hit man and why. This book is about who murdered him and why and who he is now and DeMarco's quest to stop the man before he becomes a (more) powerful man then he already is. His internal conflict over avenging his father and becoming the same kind of man his father was is almost palpable. But then Ta Da here come Emma to the rescue. The final assassination scene with the Russian assassin is a jaw dropper. This was one of those scenes I had to mull over just because it made me realize just how gifted of an author Mike Lawson really is. I am impressed and I don't say that too often. I Highly RECOMMEND this book and the previous books in this series.

I thought this was a really good, well written book and an excellent follow up to the previous book in this series - The Adversary. The protagonist Chris Bruen has not had it easy. He begins as a teen hacker whose friend took the blame, becomes an atty and works for the justice dept, wife dies of cancer and he goes into private practice specializing in Internet Security. This is a scenario for which many good story lines can emerge and so far two have! Chris along with his employee/girlfriend/sometimes former hacker find all sorts if trouble (aka jobs) to get into globally. If you are looking for a fast paced believable book - no real super hero stunts- then this is the book for you. I highly recommend this.

What about Charlie Thurston’s performance did you like?

Charlie Thurston did a great performance with this one as with the previous two.

Who was the most memorable character of Blood of My Blood and why?

I would hope the main character -Jaz Dent. His best friend Howie, girlfriend Connie, father and mother were also memorable. With out these, there would not be much of a story.

    Any additional comments?

This is kind of a three book review. I purchased the first book because it was on sale. I generally don't go for the teen hero type books but I've also never sen a teen hero involved in a mass serial killer book. After listening to the first book it ends with a really compelling cliff hanger. Ditto for book two. So I had to get book three (two & three purchased with credits, not on sale). I am sorry to see them come to an end. These books were so well written, a few times common sense did need to be suspended die to the age of the main characters but this certainly did not take away from the book. I found the conclusion to be very satisfying and although another reviewer stated that it was predictable I personally did not think it was. I found parts were (fight against good vs evil), but other parts were not. I were a shocking surprise. I thought the conclusion was very thought provoking, melancholy and also uplifting with a feeling of justice received. I highly recommend this book (and the previous two).

What made the experience of listening to The Escape the most enjoyable?

The ESCAPE is on par or better then the previous John Pullen novels. Fast paced with a really well thought out plot. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes it certainly did. The entire book I wondered if Robert Pullen would be caught, would he make it to the end in one piece? Alive? Innocent or guilty? Would the woman partnered with John really be on his side or would she turn out to be a traitor? Who's good? Who's not? Sometimes it's not clear but will be.

What does Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy do a really good job. I'm impressed!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Would have liked to but didn't have 15 hours to devote! Ok ok it took me 2 days.

    Any additional comments?

I really like this and the Will Robie series. I think David Baldacci has written some winners here. This series is action packed, this book in particular has some real twists. I don't like spoilers but I will say there is some good dialogue dealing with Pullen's father who hasn't spoken to Robert since his indictment, great "coercion" scene at the end that turns the tables on the person ultimately responsible for Robert being imprissoned. Highly Recommend by Me!!

What made the experience of listening to Key Death the most enjoyable?

Jude Hardin writes fast paced, nonstop action thrillers. His books do require you to suspend a "little" of your common sense but that aside, the ride begins on page one and wraps up with the final sentence, literally.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Oh yeah. There's a madman running around mostly in south Florida murdering people, cutting off the top of their heads, scooping out the brain and super gluing the bone back in place. Whets my appetite!

What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Dick Hill brings every book he reads to life. He is one of my favorite narrators

    Any additional comments?

I recently discovered Jude Hardin and have listened to three of his books so far. The books are not too long and for me are great after listening to a long involved complicated book. His books are light and very entertaining. I would not recommend for anyone squeamish about graphic details but otherwise his books are a rollercoaster of listening entertainment.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. This is a very complex multi layered plot with multiple key characters. Very very good book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of When White Fades to Black?

There are a few that left me thinking I was glad this was fiction although knowing all the while that the described killings committed by the KKK in this book are only the tip of reality.

Which character – as performed by Tracy Thibodeaux – was your favorite?

I thought he did a great job with both this and the previous book (NAMELESS). When reading text his voice sounds like a commentator however when he reads dialogue he does change his style to fit the character.

    Any additional comments?

Joe Conlan has a unique style. I've listened to both of his books and really like the multiple layered complexities he developes in his stories. In this book the antagonist is a member of the KKK who while on a mission takes time out to commit other murders along the way. He shows how he drags his friends down and is then able to hold things over their heads to enforce their compliance in committing more crime. This author will actually flesh out the victim's lives and their personal struggles before the killing. I don't want to spoil any of this book for anyone but an example of this early on is of a young girl who goes to a church carnival, she almost didn't get to go, found a ride with a friend who got hurt there and had to leave, friends father left her with the local minister whose family died mysteriously (probably a racial murder made to look like an accident). The minister takes the girl to his house for a snack but when he opens the cabinet a bomb goes off killing them both and others in the close vicinity. Anyway I Highly Recommend this book and look forward to his next, I hope Nameless will make another appearance since he was not caught in the 1st book.

Where does Blue Labyrinth rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not a fair question, I have A Lot of audiobooks! Well over 500 just on Audible without counting the ones I have on CDs. I will say this one is probably in my top 100. If I had to get rid of most of my books this one would be a keeper - how's that?

What other book might you compare Blue Labyrinth to and why?

The only other book I would even attempt to compare it to would be White Fire. Pendergast along with his family and friends are in a class all by themselves. You just don't find 100+ year old women who look like they're in their early 20s, or people who can meditate themselves back in time or, or, or... But the thing with this series is the way it is written the listener (me) never says it's too far fetched but buys into it. I think this says a lot about the authors.

    Any additional comments?

This was sooo good in my opinion (we all have one!). I just want to know when Pendergast will stop being Constance's guardian and will admit that he loves her as well. I really thought that this would happen in this book, since she has told him of her feelings toward him. In the epilogue after all they went through... Oh well. Maybe one day or maybe not and the writers will just keep the readers wondering. Anyway, I thought it was a great story, I wish I didn't have to wait another WHOLE YEAR for another. Highly recommend this one, it is worth the credit.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes it did! The thing with this book is, it didn't matter who the kidnapper/murderer was. The question was when and will they catch him and what else bad can happen to our hero in the meanwhile? You learn early in the book that His (Terry Naughton's) 5 year old son died but you don't learn the whole story until maybe the last 2 minutes of the book and then all you can do it sit back and say WOW! How would I react if that was me? Where this author thought this one up amazes me. Not too many books evoke an emotional response from me knowing this is fiction and purely for entertainment but WOW!

What did you love best about Snuff Tag 9?

This was fast paced right from page one. Somewhat predictable but very entertaining. The book is on the short side a I just got finished with an 18 hour book and wanted something light that wasn't too involved and this was it - PERFECT!! I will definitely get the rest of this series for in between the heavier more detailed books when I want something but need a mind break.

What did you like best about this story?

The pace. I could see this being made into a movie easily.

What does Cole Ferguson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
