when i was younger i loved him. so i bought it. i dont enjoy him anymore.
it couldnt. woody is woody. it was my mistake
sorry i spent my credit on this book
well, one thing I did learn from this book is not to talk about a book before i'm done reading. at the first few chapters I felt this book will be one of my favorites but alas, no. I could really feel the author's struggle with the meaning of life but it got boring... also, the way of writing is repetative, her craft has just a few ways of writing, it seems she went for a BIG book but couldn't pull it off, it was a lot of flaf and not much substance, I think that if after she wrote it she would leave it and come back to the manuscript after a year a so she (the author) could see where the book is lacking and fix it. bottom line, if you can borrow it from someone, do, and read the beginning, it really is wonderful. once Henry gets married, you can stop reading
this book was recomanded to me by a friend who read the book. 3 times i have tried listening to the audio but the narrator makes it very hard to enjoy. I got till the middle and just couldnt go on. I think it's a good book, I will try to read and not listen
I love the way she writes, I love the tempo, the way the characters develope. it was such a plesent hear and the Preformance of the narrator was outstanding! great book already listened to it twice
I enjoyed this book so much, I didnt want it to end. The way J.K knows to describe all the thoughts that go through all of us and at the same time does not stop us from judging others..she is an amazing writer. A lot of small sentences are so condense with so much of the human truth. i loved the book, i really did. bravo!
ok, suger is bad, we get it. i have found the explanations interesting and worth thinking about but the writer who says again and again that it is not a behavioral problem says nothing in the "what to do about it part" he just says: you should it meat and fat and that will make you feel better. you should just do it. well sir, i cant just do it, my body craves the sugar. and THAT'S the problem.
first, the narrator just has an unpleasent voice, in my view. second, this book should be named: stating the obvious in a boring way. i'm sorry, i have tried to like it, but no. not a good book in my opinion.
i LOVED her first book and this book is very pleasent to listen as well. my only regret is that this time (unlike with the happiness project) mrs rubin is not the narrator. i think her voice adds a lot to the book overall.
sorry, this book didnt do it for me....it was just listening to common sense, that's it.
you dont have to read the whole book just so you know that when you praftice whatever, your neurons get wraped in myline which conduct the electric pulse faster. there, i have saved you one credit.
very very good listen. love her writting, love her thoughts. beautiful tone of voice. found this book by accident and already listen to it twice.
