Exciting, awesome, true love story
A very different vampire story, lots of twist I didn't see coming and a HEA :D
Many scenes caught my attention, but I think at the end where Marcus and Ann were in the vineyard is the happiest.
Love is powerful and always wins!
I loved the storyline, very different from any others in the vampire genre, the story didn't stop, no awkward or blah moments. It kept me listening waiting to find out what happened next. Very emotional, it was an emotional roller coaster ride. I laughed, I sure cried, I got mad too :D Loved the narrator's voice, I call it the chameleon voice. Doing all those accents, personalities and genders speaks of talent. Thank you for a great experience.
Definitely I would, because is a great story as usual by Ms. Hamilton and is narrated by the awesome voice of JD Hart.
There are lots of books out there that have SEALs as main characters, including the ones in the series this is part of, but they are all different, there is no comparison.
I have many, but the one I burst out laughing was where they were in the donut shop and the kiss between Kenny and his girl was described: "... It sounded more like a toilet plunger..." Love it when the author throws these funny descriptions in.
Love at first sight does exist!
I recommend this and all the books in the series. I said it before and saying it again... the books were awesome when I read them, but listening to them narrated by THE VOICE of JD Hart brings them to life.
I would definitely recommend this audiobook to everybody and I am because I read the book and found it very enjoyable, but adding the narrator's voice it came alive.
I liked the whole story, action, comedy, suspense are mixed beautifully with passionate moments.
I can't pick one :D
I think it was towards the end when Mark and Tyler were transporting the bomb away from the cruise ship, they were ready to selflessly sacrifice themselves to save so many and that brings to the forefront their courage and willingness to defend what they believed in, protect the innocent.
I've listened to all the books narrated by JD Hart and the versatility of his voice amazes me every time, but this one I think is the best yet. All the accents are perfectly rendered, the mood of the characters come across clearly, the various characters of different gender and nationalities are well defined. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Definitely!!! I would recommend and I do recommend this book, this series, to anybody who like the vampire romance genre. Why? Because it is different in many ways, the Golden Vampires are able to walk in the sun, they have a strong family bond, they grow up human till they hit puberty when they have to choose between a mortal and immortal life.
I loved all the characters, well shaped and written. Well, I didn't like Dag, he is nasty, but he was needed in the story.
I've listened to all his books he narrated so far and JD still amazes me, the way he changes his voice to suit each character, sometimes I think there is more then one person narrating it.
I went thru many emotions listening to this book, I think the best part was at the end when Paolo and Cara finally fated... mmmm
I would recommend this series to anyone and adding JD Hart's voice to it, I can promise hours of enjoyment. He brings the characters to life in such a way that you will not be able to stop listening.
I think with the voice of Brad Wills, this book I loved so much, is so much more, just WOW !
I can actually visualize it better, at times I felt like I am in the same place where the characters were.
I can't pick just one, each of the characters has something I liked.
Brad Wills voice brings the story and characters to life, the various voices, ages, genders, tones, temperaments are very well portrayed. Some places it felt like there are more than one person narrating it.
Throughout the story, I laughed out loud, I cried, I sighed. There were quite a few scenes, the part where the wedding scene starts to unfold, the description of the warriors lining the walls was made vivid in my mind, made me want to be there, to experience it. My absolute favourite was near the end when Findley gets on his knee and makes his pledge to Maggie during their wedding. *sigh*
I am blown away by the talent of Brad Wills, just WOW !!!
I am looking forward to listen to Wee William's Woman, my fave story in the series. Keep writing Ms. Tisdale and I'll keep reading and listening :D
I read the book before, but adding the voice of JD Hart made is much more enjoyable. I could feel the emotions as they were read.
I liked them all :D
My fave scene was in the motor home after the wedding when Julie and Nick were making love. It was hot!!!
I almost did listen to it in one sitting, but life got in the way ;)
It is a short story, but has the right elements to make a satisfying read or listen. I can't wait until the extended version comes out later this summer. As usual the narration by JD Hart didn't disappoint. Love his voice.
Captivating, hot, amazing!!!
I loved the whole story, the portrayal of a close bond between sister and brother, the close bond of a SEAL team, their 'no man is left behind' mentality makes me admire and love them more each time I read a story. The best part, as in each story written by Ms. Hamilton, is that love has the power to heal and the women in each SEAL's life is as strong as their men and in their own way support and strengthen them.
I love each character narrated by J. D. Hart, his voice is amazing. Each time I listen to a book narrated by him I am amazed with the range of voices, the emotions, the personalities he can portray.
I laughed out loud imagining the SEALs dancing and singing when they helped out at Sophie's nursery before the final sale day. I cried when Sophie died. There were a whole range of emotions throughout the book.
I really recommend this series, amazing stories. Even though I know they are fictional characters, they seem so real and their life, their struggles, their strength & dedication is pouring of the pages. With J. D. Hart's voice they come to life.
I think Kevin Foley's voice made it so much more vivid
Do I have to pick? I love them all.
No, this is the first time I listened to a book narrated by him. Love his voice.
Life of a SEAL and what he does best, protect!
I recommend this or any of the other books by Gennita Low. I read all in the Crossfire series. Looking forward to listening to the rest of them. Thank you for a very enjoyable listen.
among the top ones
I don't think there is comparison, each book is unique and this one was a jewel, I totally recommend it
Where should I start? I love the whole book. One scene that really stuck with me is when Angus and Duncan where reunited with their wives ... I cried
oh yes, definitely!
This book is amazing, Suzan Tisdale's story telling talent is addictive. I loved the book when I read it, but the narrator's voice brought it to life, what an awesome voice. I am looking forward to listen to the other books in the series.
At the top for sure!!!
Very realistic, well written, the author really has drawn me into the story.
His voice is awesome, made the story even better. Great choice! I could listen to him for ever.
Oh yes, definitely. The combination of the story and the narrator made it very enjoyable.
I hope Ms. Hamilton will get J.D. to read the rest of the books in this awesome series.
