I definitely recommend this book! Why? The story is really good and listening to the amazing voice of James Gillies makes it even better. He brings it to life with passion.
I think the end is memorable. It is a twist I didn't expect. Loved it.
I loved the book as a whole, my favourite is where Lileas and Aidan are in his chamber on their wedding night.
I can say I practically did with one or two breaks, I listened well into the night and next morning on the way to work.
I think it was a great choice by the author to have James Gillies tell her story. Wonderful story told by a passionate voice. I am looking forward to listen more.
A great collection of poems narrated by Richard Armitage. I was pleasantly surprised, I love his voice and the way he told the poems with passion.
This story so wonderfully written. I fell in love with Tadhg in the first book and Mairead is a wonderful choice to be his wife. Their story is a true love story, the way it should be. Despite many obstacles, they stayed true and believed in each other and the end was a welcome surprise, it left me smiling. I highly recommend to buy and read the books by Ceci Giltenan, she is a great storyteller. Congrats on your choice of narrators, Ms. Giltenan!
Listening to Tadhg come alive thru Paul Woodson's voice made me fall in love with him even more. Thank you Mr. Woodson for another great audio experience. Looking forward to more.
I loved the story when I read it last year and listening to it told in the sexy brogue of Paul Woodson I wish I could give it a few more stars.
Niall is loveable, but I am glad he finally smartened up, I felt like smacking him upside the head sometimes. Katherine is such a strong woman enduring the hardship of her life with her cruel uncle, but retaining her giving heart. I am glad she's got Niall. The story is sad in parts, very intense in others, mixed with some loving moments and with a very happy ending.
Mr. Woodson is really bringing this story to life, his accents, pitches, emotions come across beautifully. You got to listen to this!!!
I found this audio while checking out Rebecca Cook's audiobooks, love her voice.
I laughed so hard at this collection, tears were running down my face and ended up with a tummy ache LOL I loved it. Thank you to whoever came up with the idea and all the awesome narrators (thank you Ms. Cook) who allowed their bloopers to be added. I could have done without hearing the burping scenes, but that is one of my pet peeves and nothing to do with how awesome this audio is. I hope there will be more. Thank you for the giggles and LOLs
Recommending with 5 stars!
A very short audio with hot sexy scenes and a touch of paranormal. Teresa and Max have the instant chemistry that turns their fling to a maybe HEA hinted at the end. The naughty ghost was a great addition. Loved Suzy Lexington's voice, perky and exciting, but it needs a bit more differentiation between the character voices. A few more pauses between scenes would help to separate them, I had to rewind a few times, the change was so sudden.
Pleasantly surprised. This story is short, but sweet and satisfying. I just love Braden Wright's voice, the warm and tingly feeling I got with all his audiobooks I listened to. Annie and James are quite a pair, with a rocky start, a few twists in between, and a HEA, I really enjoyed it. Recommending with 5 stars.
What made me keep listening to the story more than anything is the voice of Kitty Hendrix. Great nuances, pitches, and the way she portrayed the feelings of each character and situations they found themselves in is remarkable. The story is thrilling, every time my heart turned to its normal pace there was a twist in the story to make it beat fast again. I find it quite unbelievable that Meg, the main female character, learns to survive and do the things she did in such a short time, but I give her the benefit of the doubt. She is intelligent and strong, I loved her perseverance and drive to uncover the truth and close the case which was the cause of her husban's death, she wins despite the deadly obstacles thrown in her path. I like happy endings and there is a hint of that at the end.
Would I listen to another of Mr. Weston's books? Most likely, if Ms. Hendrix is the narrator.
At first I wasn't sure if the narrator's voice was really compatible with the story, but as I got more into the story I realized Ms. Parkin's narration was pretty good, showing emotions, the various characters were easy to recognize. This genre is not in my top five to read because of the rules and codes of the society of this era, the way the women of every class were treated, but the author created a world that once you step in, it is hard to leave. Ms. Pillow's writing style is quite engaging and the story of Wolf and Gen made me feel many emotions, especially frustration at the main characters and their miscommunication. It took many conflicts and much heartbreak to get them to see each other as they were meant to and finally have their HEA. I laughed at their antics as children, I cried at some pretty sad moments, I was cheering on when the men where in battle, and I got really mad at some of the secondary characters for their misguided meddling in the couple's lives. I am quite happy that I stuck with the story, would recommend it to the readers of this genre.
I loved this book when I read it a few years ago, but listening to it read by Braden Wright blew me away. Just the right amount of raspy with a healthy does of warmth, Mr. Wright's voice is the perfect choice for this story, it made me feel warm and tingly... and the singing he does... *sigh* I played those parts back a few times. The voices of the characters were well differentiated, I especially loved Iain's voice, also old Angus' voice. The emotions came thru clearly which for me is important. I find nothing worse when I hear the word but not the emotion behind it. This story of Iain and Page is a a good mix of romance, mystery, betrayal, redemption, revenge and a dash of hilarity ending with a HEA. Thank you for a great listening experience.
Loved the story of Mirek and Riona. In the previous book, I didn't really like Riona, but she redeemed herself in this one. She is strong, funny, mischievous and fun loving, keeping Mirek on his toes after scaring him by falling into a coma. Mirek is so lovable and fun, he is so loyal to her, caring for her for months. Loved their banter, their bedroom talk. Loved how the story unfolded and it wasn't predictable, which made the book more exciting. I like that in every book in the series we get to read beyond the HEA ending of the couple from previous books and the further we get into the series the more of the big picture is revealed.
I wasn't sure about Melissa Barr's voice at the beginning, but she drew me into the story with her various voices and enthusiasm. Really enjoyed her telling the story.
