Loved this book in the series. I love how the author follows up on the characters in the series and we see how the main characters in the previous books fare and some events from a different perspective. The world of then Dragon Lords becomes more clear and complex at the same time. Kendall and Alex, the main characters in this book have great chemistry despite being from different worlds. A hopeless situation becomes a love story to last centuries. At the end I had to laugh out loud, Ms. Pillow took the words right out of my mind... "Wait! What about Morgan?" Loved listening to Mason Lloyd's voice, such a perfect choice for book. Another great listening experience! Thank you!
Loved this book. Ms. Gilbert's experiences and opinions are masterfully told in her own awesome voice. I could listen for hours and did. The stories were various and a great mix, some made me laugh out loud, some made me think as they told great truths, and some were I was nodding my head saying YES that's right. I can't pick a favourite part, they all have something to offer to the heart and mind of those willing to listen AND hear the messages behind them. I totally recommend this audio experience with 5 stars. Looking forward to more.
As with the other stories I listened to in the Dragon Lords series I loved the premise, a little scifi with a medieval feel to it. This pairing is a bit easier for the fact that Aeron finds out from the beginning that Bron is a dragon shifter. But that doesn't mean it will be easy for them to come to common ground. She is a courageous woman, even if she doesn't think so at times, crossing the galaxy to help save a planet from annihilation. Loved her sister and her wild ways and I hope to listen to her story next. And Bron... sigh... I want a Drague Lord too.
Melissa Barr's voice is really nice, perfect for the female characters, but I think it falls a bit short for the male characters, especially these dragon warriors where I would expect to hear a deeper pitch.
A sweet story about Laroue, a young woman with an unusual gift, she sees dead people and helps them cross over. Humour, mystery, some suspense and sleuthing mixed with some light romance makes this an enjoyable story. Listening to it narrated by Elisabeth Klett made it even more so. Perfect voice for this. Loved Ms. Klett's versatile voice, expressive and right pitch for each character. Loved the dynamics between Laroue and Mindy, the wild, and somewhat reckless best friend. And the ghosts that surround her are an interesting mix. The ending is hinting at more books to come, I will be checking them out.
I loved the story, the premise of this book. Alasdair is a Highlander warrior, with honour and loyalty, loved the way he is portrayed. Gwyneth, the English lady, who saves his life at the beginning of the story, is not as bright and she behaves as expected of a haughty aristocrat even though she is banished from her title and wealth. Loved the twists the story took and toward the end when I thought it was smooth sailing toward HEA, Ms. Sinclair threw me for a loop, loved it. Looking forward to the next one.
Loved Andrew Bryan's voice, the different accents, and how I could discern the various characters. The narration had some aspects that bugged me, when not in dialogue the narrating had no punctuation, most of the time ending the sentences with a questioning tone; also in some places the tone didn't match what the character said. Although I loved Alasdair's voice, his voice boomed when he was mad or whispering or just talking.
Just as the first book, this one too is very entertaining. I love Ms. Gilbert's voice, such a pleasure to listen to her while talking about her real life experiences. She is hilariously irreverent, has opinions with which I agree on most things. This book made me laugh, think, nod and shake my head, but most of all I find it uplifting. I totally recommend it, as I do the first one, 'RAVING VIOLET". I am looking forward to Swami Soup. Thank you Ms. Gilbert!
Loved the story of Zoran and Pia! As with the other stories I listened to before in the series, the match of a Drag Prince with a foreign woman had its challenges, especially when the woman doesn't know the customs and tradition of the planet she landed on. It is quite a story, lots of misunderstandings and words have this couple at odds sometimes. Once they are truly bonded which happens towards the end, they are very happy together. Loved that many events in the previous stories are told again but from a different perspective so I have an even better understanding of them. Quite a few twists in the story that I didn't expect, and the ending... loved it.
Ms. Van Sweden's voice is very lovely, very good narrator, but I found it didn't really match the story, very soft at times, too soft. But past the mid mark something changed, and I could really get into the listening. I started hearing more variation, more appropriate tones to match the words. Towards the end it became really good and how it should have been the whole way.
Talk about a supercharged story, just wow. For most of the story, my heart was beating so fast logged up in my throat. This is Hawk and Amber's book, they meet, sparks fly from the get go. Loved the way the story unfolded, the author throwing in some twists when least expected. A world of intrigue, suspense, tragedy peppered with some hot sexy scenes, some comical bantering makes this an awesome read. I highly recommend it. I loved it when I read it, but listening to it narrated by Kevin Foley ... WOW ... his voice is amazing, flexible and versatile. With so many characters, genders, nationalities, I didn't have to figure out who's talking, Mr. Foley did a great job. Thank you for hours of enjoyment. Looking forward to listening more.
The first thing that drew me to this is the narrator's voice! I usually stay away from female narrators, but Ms. Gilbert's voice spoke to me. So much passion, very well spoken, articulate. I started listening out of curiosity, nothing like I listened to before, except Erma Bombeck yeons ago. The stories told by the author from her real life experiences are captivating. Some made me think, some made me laugh out loud and some made me shake my head and what they have in common is that most of us can relate to these. The accents and temperament of the different people she introduces are so wonderfully executed. I loved it all. I am listening to the next one, the Memoirs!
I think this would be my fave story in the series. I love Aidan, the way he deals with Paige, with patience, acceptance and ardent love. I adore Paige, she is a strong woman, knows her own mind and is not afraid to speak up, deals with everything thrown her way, she is funny at times. I am so happy that they came to form a solid relationship that she has foreseen to last well into their old age.
I great choice in narrators, I LOVE Rebecca Cook's voice, so versatile, full of emotion and passion. Thank you for the hours of pure enjoyment.
