intriguing story about the immortal gods of old that live on another plain messing in the lives of fragile little humans. love wins out in the end, of course. The narrator was good. this was a nice little story that connected the past with the present. It was worth buying.
I don't know what everyone is complaining about. This book doesn't go over previous books anymore than the first 5 books did. In the very end the author does recap the series but thats no big deal. I thought all the books went over previous books to much but I got used to it. the whole series gives us a lot to think about, especially that matriarchal societies are less violent then patriarchal societies. I also think the idea that woman came before man and he was made because woman was lonely makes More sense then making woman from a rib. The whole parallel is intriguing. The MOTHER instead of the FATHER. The sun the moon and the earth etc. etc. It is, however, rather silly to think that with all the animals to watch no one knew where babies came from. I guess that's the whole idea of the book. something to think about and NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE. Now you can all pick my review apart. Have at it.
This is obviously an adult book but everything is over explained as if for a child. The story line was interesting and could have been a five star if it was rewritten and read by a different narrator, this narrator was wayyy tooo whinnyyyy.
Nice little twist to a vampire story. It was exiting, dramatic, funny and light all at the same time. I'll be getting book 2.
There was only a couple beheadings. The rest of the book was talking and sex. Don't get me wrong I like sex but enough is enough. where is the action, throat ripping vampire action???
I liked it much better when humans didn't know vampires existed . When no one told the breed warriors what to do and they governed their own.
This story ended to abruptly. What happened to Jenna' s change?? What is she, Alien, Vampire or human. Is she done changing??? The answers should not be in another book, they should be in this one.
Cades voice was the worst, he sounded like a little boy. Since he was the hero that was a very bad thing for the book as a whole. Normally I like HH as a narrator but she dropped the ball on this one.
In the end there is a short preview of the next book, but I can't find it. I loved this book and would like to know where the next one is?????
blood and Gore was a little more then I was used to in the first book, but the book is so intense and gripping that I am now hooked. I loved it and can't wait to read the next one.
just love those Whorelock gifts. it puts a wonderful twist on the story that sets it above all the other highland/English novels.
