The narration is exquisite. Switching between the French, German , Greek American accents takes great skill and Steven Pacy has mastery over them all.
The story line is gripping.
The development of the two storylines which were bound to be merged kept me in eager anticipation of how/when the characters' paths would eventually collide.
And of course the ending was magnificent!
All the characters were adequately covered
Vengeance doesn't always pay.
This is by far among the best. I gave it a 10 for storyline and the narration was EXCELLENT!
Tucker of course. His southern drawl and his laid back attitude kept me drawn in and wanting more. Not that the other characters were mediocre, they all could stand on their own merit.
His ability to capture that laid back southern accent, with it's cadence and inflection. I could listen to him all day, which I did at work! I felt like I was a fly on the wall in the story thanks to his outstanding narration. Kudos to Mr. Stechschulte
Ok I liked them all, Della with her sternness, Caroline with her "Yankee" lol! properness, Cy the kid fearful of his dad, Ms Josie.... hmmm what a twist, Buck and the pompous FBI agent, and Tucker the loverboy, etc etc. They were great and well developed.Billy T, Junior, Cousin Lulu, etc etc.
Of course Austin and his "tool of Satan" This was worthy of an award!!
Great book, I would recommend taking a listen and sit back with your mint julep, the South is back with a vengeance.
