The continuing success of the beloved Mrs. Murphy mystery series is given its proper due with the publication of this 20th-anniversary tale. When a local mechanic gets his odometer turned back—for good—Mary Minor “Harry” Haristeen steps in to investigate. There’s more to the crime than meets the eye, though, and sleuthing cats Mrs. Murphy and Pewter, along with faithful corgi Tee Tucker, do their level best to keep Harry out of harm’s way.

Would you listen to The Big Cat Nap again? Why?

Yes I would I enjoy the animal chatter and Harry always confuses me with the way she thinks. But she does solve the case. I also enjoy the friendships between all the women in the book.

If you’ve listened to books by Rita Mae Brown before, how does this one compare?

Yes, I will listen to this again in the future sometime. I figure this one out way before Harry did and I usually don't.

What does Kate Forbes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She just has all the people down. You know as soon as she starts to talk who she is.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think when all the animals were trying to get them to follow them to the body. We so often dismiss our animals, when they really have something to show or say.

    Any additional comments?

I have love this series from the begining, also Sister Jane and her new series is good too. Rita Mae Brown I don't think she writes these as deep thinking (even though some have made me think hard) but for our entertainment. And I can truly say I have always been entertain.

From the best-selling author of Cowboys Are My Weakness comes a story of a woman, Rea, and her dog, Dante, who teaches her that love is stronger than fear. A catalyst for change in other characters as well, Dante effects the lives of Rae's house-tender, her therapist, two veterinarians, and an anxiety-ridden actor. In addition to Dante, there is also Rose, another dog, and Stanley the Cat, all of whom have something to add.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes and I have. Most of my friends are animals lovers but we have wonder how we ended up with a certain dog at a certain time. This story explains it all for me.
I first read(heard) this in 2007 but a friend of mine wanted a book about animals so I went for the second listening and enjoyed it all over again.

What did you like best about this story?

All my emotions went for a ride I was laughing, crying, giggling, scared, and very much in love. And finally at peace.

What about Full Cast’s performance did you like?

Well for once I could tell men from women and no one tried to sound more female or male it was a nice change of pace.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no the first time I went through in one sitting I now think to fast, second time I took my time and really focus and thought about the whole concept. And it really made sense to me, or maybe I was just hoping no I believe.

    Any additional comments?

In my life I have had 13 dogs living from 6 months to 20 years and I always wonder why I got this dog at this time in my life. This book brings it home.

In Chill Factor, author Chris Rogers delivers a tale full of surprises and hard-hitting characters. When bounty hunter Dixie Flannigan arrives at the bank, she's shocked to see her longtime friend Edna Pine - a sweet and caring grandmother - robbing the bank. Edna escapes, but is gunned down by police after a violent chase where the stolen money goes missing. Local reporters are eager to lump Edna in with a string of other recent "granny bandits," but Dixie isn't buying that story.

Don't know haven't seen it print

What was one of the most memorable moments of Chill Factor?

When I had to question myself as to what I would do. Or could this happen to me.

Have you listened to any of Peggity Price’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Yes, this one more intense

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Carlotta Wren has always dreamed of taking a vacation from her life as daughter to fugitive parents and mother to her younger brother, Wesley. So when she gets an invitation from hunky body mover Cooper Craft to ride to Florida for some fun in the sun and a VIP body pickup, it seems like a good idea. But then they're greeted on arrival by three different men, each one laying claim to the celebutante's body they've been hired to move.

Would you try another book from Stephanie Bond and/or Cassandra Campbell?

This was my third book and my last. Stephanie is just too whiny She whines about her father running out on her and her brother. She whines about her brother(grown). She whines about her 3 good looking boy friends or want to be boy friends. She whines about the life she could have had, JUST EVERYTHING

What did you like best about this story?

I like her friend Hannah she seems the most down to earth and that is saying something about the book when the goth, pierced and tattoo lady is the best.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    None stand out

What character would you cut from 3 Men and a Body?

Her brother, she has no life, can form no life because she is always whining and worrying about this guy and what makes it worse he doesn't care. She is in debt way over head paying his gambling, drug and any other kind of debt he can bring to her.
