Holy mackerel! I've been waiting for a zombie novel this good since listening to "Day By Day Armageddon". I've read about 10 in the meanwhile that ranged from satisfactory to amateur to unreadable. This one was exciting, believable and well researched, with a solid writer at the helm. I'm really hoping for a sequel (or two)!
Why was Master Splinter narrating this? Why happened to the charming Brit from the prologue? You know, the one who sounds like the writer and helps immerse you in the story?
Not the epic audiobook I was hoping for. I love to read all things post-apocalyptic (and I love Scott Brick), but this was more "As the World Turns" and less "The Stand". Characters and their problems are plentiful, but the excitement is not. When they make the movie version (because this thing is selling really well) it will have to be a 13-part miniseries on Lifetime, not the dystopian action flick I wanted.
