So overly dramatic! So annoying that I felt like I was powering through the book rather than enjoying it.

What made the experience of listening to Dreamer's Pool the most enjoyable?

I love the characters! Tragedy and heartbreak have left the characters damaged and at times ruthless. I love Grim and can't wait to learn more about him in the next book. This book has everything that makes a good book great!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dreamer's Pool?

I can't pick just one. There is so many stories that take place in this one book. Fugitives, a stupid prince, a magic pool, a SUPER creepy baker...They all come together to make one great book.

Where does The House of Hades rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The book itself is great! I've read it before. But, if I had only listened to this book I would have given up! The first three books are great! Narrator is wonderful! This narrator massacres this great book.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters rely on each other so much. Each one is important and is crucial to the success of the mission.

How could the performance have been better?

Why would you fix something that isn't broken? The previous narrator was great! The inflection in this narrators voice is completely ridiculous. He sounds like a dumb blonde... I can't say enough how disappointed I am in the narrator.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Gear up... it only gets worse from here.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

If you could sum up Outlander in three words, what would they be?

    Smart, memorable, stirring.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Outlander?

After Claire is captured and accused of being a witch, she is saved at the last moment by Jamie. After putting a few miles between themselves and the angry mob, Jamie asks claire for truth. Is she a witch? Claire confesses all and losses her sanity. Jamie takes her back to that fated boulder and gives Claire the choice to stay or go back to her time. And Frank.
This book has so many moments where every choice made counts! This is one of my favorite books ever!

What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Davina Porter gives each character their own uniqueness. I can hear the characters smile as they talk. You can hear how dangerous some of the characters really are by their slow clipped words. Plus as much as I try to do a Scottish accent I fail really badly. She's simply amazing.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I have read and re read this book over and over again. Once I got into audible I listened and re-listened to this book multiple times. I've laughed and cried, Ive been so angry at some of the characters I've wanted to scream! This book is fantastically emotional. But in a good way

Where does Days of Gold rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I'm a huge fan of audio books. This one is fantastic. I found the story so interesting and the narration is fabulous! Davina Porter does it best!

What did you like best about this story?

This isn't just a simple love story. I love books that teach me something about culture, history, and different points of view. This book had it all, plus a great love story. I love all the personal growth the heroine (Edilean) goes through. She went from naive to self reliant and savvy. There are so many great characters to love in this book.

What does Davina Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I listen to a lot of audio books and Davina Porter is my favorite narrator. It's one thing being told the social status of a character and another being able to hear the social status of the character. It's so much more fun to actually hear the angry Scottish burr than be told that the Scottish guy is angry. Its so much easier to know the true feelings of each character when listening to an audio book. Listening to audio books heightens all the emotions that the author is trying to get across.
