Two armed men board a 727 that has been all but forgotten at an airfield in Angola. Hijacking the jet, they then slit the throat of the lone crew and fly to parts unknown. The consternation is immediate, as the CIA, FBI, and other agencies race to find out what happened, in the process elbowing one another in the sides a little too vigorously. Fed up, the president of the United States turns to an outside investigator to determine the truth.

Wayne says: "Dick Hill is the right reader; interesting story"
    "By Order Of The President"

This is, I think a great book. First, its the intro to a a compelling chracter, Major Charley Castillo. And a story line that develops all the way to the end.Not to mention the ever entertaining narration of Dick Hill. I will listen to the rest of this series. Also I think its great when a author develops a chracter and expands that into a series.

What made the experience of listening to The Power of One the most enjoyable?

Wow, what a story! This is a great story. Its about compassion for our fellow man, its about putting others first, not ourself. Its about staying the course. But mostly it about a friendship that spans trials from the POW camp to being on a boat in the midst of a hurricane and the love and caring that is bore out of all that these people go through together. Great book!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Power of One?

When both Jacko and Jimmy were given medals for there wartime escapades. And how those escapades forged a friendship that few have a chance to experience.

Have you listened to any of Humphrey Bower’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    As all ways top shelf

Who was the most memorable character of The Power of One and why?

Most memorable chracter........has to be a 3 way tie between, Jacko, Jimmy and Nickole. All three at some point play a most unforgetable character. Sorry, 3 great leading protagonist.
