If he was to create a story involving main character with a pair and a story line that doesn't sound like the next line should read "A is for apple, see the dog run." One (or a hundred) too many tears down a cheek, in an eye, through a beard. Ridiculous writting, descriptions and progression of a weak story line that started off pretty good; good enough to keep me listening, but eventually at 3X speed to see if the story would regain what it had in the first couple chapters; it didn't.
Not at all. I am still looking for the next "Swan Song, Breakers, Escaping - Surviving - Going Home, This Shattered Land - No Easy Hope, Run, The Remaining Series, 77 Days in September etc...This was NOT it!
He did a fair job with what he had to read. Work on your female character voice.
This was my first single star rating, I hope it is my last.
Nice in between, as you look for the next "Drive past the parking, twice before I get there" selection.
The production was a little overdone, rat-a-tat-tat-tat sound effect for the sound of gun shots? (just to identify one "Come on, really" effect).
I kept the first selection, all 2 hours of it, and really wanted to like this, but couldn't. Part two was obviously written for length not story flow and did not come close to book #1.
I have been looking at this selection for quite some time and never really could get to the point of pushing the Select button.. I was between books and trying to have something to occupy my time. The story descriptions doesn't do it justice; this was an interesting perspective of the zombie experience that absolutely kept my intresr from beginning to end.
A great continuation to the fresh zombish creatures twist offered in book one. This selection continues with the perfect amount of believable hero characters and story lines. As it turns out I am fully accepting of the "suckers and popping" sounds; patiently waiting for the third book.
I would, but I'll hold off for the next edition.
Any that I have listed as a very good listen. Believable story line with believable characters. Perfect number of hero characters with just enough story lines.
I really enjoyed the story and listened knowing there was another edition in the series. It took a chapter or three before I was able to go along with the "suckers," you will know what I am talking about, but this really was money well spent, no regrets at all.
Great plot with several story lines each with outstanding character development. No superheroes, just everyday people; some you will like and a couple you will really dislike. Not because they are over the top nasty mean, but because we all know people who would become these characters.
Keep em coming, this plot has legs!
Predictable and teribly narrated.. The story has potential but the author and narrator could not pull it off.
This story is an excellent, believable and extremely well written and narrated finish to the Mountain Man Series. I was dissapointed with the rats in an earlier story line, no dissapointment in book four, NONE at all. Very creative and believable cast of characters, each easily identified via OUTSTANDING narration.
Outstanding series, you will not be disappointed. First person brilliance of the day by day survival of a zombie filled world. No gimmicks, fast zombies or "Come on, really?" story lines just a solid account of what I expect a zombie story to be.
If you need a zombie fix and are ready to recite the next line before it's read, this is not a bad listen. if your looking for a Day by Day Armageddon, this is NOT it.
