New York knows Nathaniel West as the brilliant CEO of West Industries, but Abby knows he’s more: a sexy and skilled dominant who is looking for a new submissive. Yearning to experience a world of pleasure beyond her simple life, Abby offers herself to Nathaniel. But despite the pleasure he takes in Abby’s willing spirit, the Nathaniel hidden behind the rules remains cold and distant. As Abby falls deeper into his tantalizing world of power and passion, she fears that Nathaniel’s heart may be beyond her reach - and that her own might be beyond saving....

What did you love best about The Submissive?

Love is a pretty strong word. Abby, Abby, Abby - you wanted the sub lifestyle, so suck it up and take your licks. A couple of scenes were pretty hot; Abby made sure she got her 8 hrs after her first real punishment.

What other book might you compare The Submissive to and why?

    The obvious one 50 shades.

Have you listened to any of Angelica Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I listened to all 3 of this series and she's pretty good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It's All Fun and Games Until You Break a Rule.

    Any additional comments?

First book was a little too vanilla for me. A Dom that doesn't loan or share his sub? Well I guess it's possible.

It started with a hidden desire. Millionaire CEO Nathaniel West has always played by his own strict set of rules, ones he expects everyone to follow - especially the women he's dominated in his bedroom. But his newest lover is breaking down all his boundaries and rewriting his rule book.

As the playboy CEO of West Industries, he governs the boardroom during the day; as a strict dominant with exacting rules, he commands the bedroom at night. He never takes on inexperienced submissives, but when Abigail King’s application comes across his desk, he breaks his own restrictions and decides to test her limits. Abby’s combination of innocence and willingness is intoxicating, and Nathaniel is soon determined to collar her as his own.

Although Nate's perspective was more interesting, he's gets a bit emo sometimes.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Well, I would to my friends who liked military/merc books with lots of blood and guns. LC's books are fun. I belong to a book club - all woman. I picked one of LC's other books and boy did they bitch! Then they had to eat their words once they read the book. This story is no different, the it's a great and fun read - well listen.

What other book might you compare Dead Six to and why?

MHI sans the cool monsters. Maybe The Expendables or The A- Team. Charters that are fun, interesting and a little broken.

What does Bronson Pinchot bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It wouldn't be Correia book without him. I have the biggest nerd crush on BP. I have listened to all of Correia's other books, (MHI series and Hard Magic) and I have been so impressed with his ability to make each character so REAL, even the females ones. Some times when men read a female character it can become distracting - not so with B.P.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laugh out loud so often I try not to listen in public. And I cry too and I talk to and yell at characters. Really B.P. makes these characters come alive.

    Any additional comments?

I love these books - I can't believe they haven't been made into movies.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, edgy story line. Great suspence. I couldn't wait to get back to it every time I had to put it down.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Walking Dead: Rise of The Governor?

The whole Penny dying part, I knew Philip was going to lose and Brian would pay the price.

Which character – as performed by Fred Berman – was your favorite?

    Philip

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I could have I would have.

    Any additional comments?

This should be made into a movie - I can't wait to listen to the next one, The Road to Woodbury. I hope it's just as good.
