I have enjoyed reading the series about Temeraire. But unfortunately, I found book 6, Tongues of the serpents, uninteresting. Weak plot and not well written.
I have read all the previous books in this series and enjoyed them all. This book has a different feel to it... it's more "Sherlock Holmesie". Definitely a fun read.
I have really enjoyed reading/listening to the Graceling series books (Graceling: book1, Fire: book2, and Bitterblue: book 3) by Kristin Cashore. The books are very well written. I love the characters and how they and the different stories kind of intermingle together. Also, I love Zanthe Elbrick's narration.
Another great book in the series. Great new adventures for my favorite characthers Arya, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys, and Jon Snow...Unfortuantely there's quiet a wait until the next book is released in March 2112. Enjoy :)
I give this book 3 stars because of the narrator. I found it difficult to differentiate between the characters and follow the story clearly. The narrator doesn't change her tone or voice to indicate the variations. The book itself is good. Interesting and fun to read. Books 2 and 3 of the series have a different narrator and are great listens.
I enjoyed reading this series. Good solid characters but the ending is not really an ending. The auther, Mr. Hawks, said that this is it. That he will not be continuing this story line. Well, I think that's really too bad since there's a lot more to this story that has remained untold.
Interesting characters and a nice plot. Enjoyed most of the book except the way it ended.
Slow beginning...Difficult to get through part one but once you do, part 2 is much more action packed and interesting.
I enjoyed listening to this book. It's smart and entertaining. Simon Vance is a great narrator.
