Six months after nearly losing their lives to a serial killer in New York City, FBI Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are suffering through something almost as frightening: the monotony of desk duty. When they're ordered to take a vacation for the good of everyone's sanity, Ty bites the bullet and takes Zane home with him to West Virginia, hoping the peace and quiet of the mountains will give them the chance to explore the explosive attraction they’ve so far been unable to reconcile with their professional partnership.

Having fallen hard for Ty and Zane in Cut & Run, I couldn't wait to pick up where things left off with these two. The authors did NOT disappoint. The character development is so rich, especially by letting us meet Ty's family. It drives the story forward instead of slowing it down. I will never look at a shovel the same way again. LOL! Once again, the authors have created the perfect combination of drama, sexual tension, and humor. I love being immersed in the world they've created. Ty and Zane will stay with me for a very, very long time.

An erotic gay romance, a suspenseful thriller.... A series of murders in New York City has stymied the police and FBI alike, and they suspect the culprit is a single killer sending an indecipherable message. But when the two federal agents assigned to the investigation are taken out, the FBI takes a more personal interest in the case. Special Agent Ty Grady is pulled out of undercover work. He's cocky, abrasive, and indisputably the best at what he does.

    Story

Stellar writing, believable characters, and an engaging plot are evident from the very beginning. The authors have written the perfect combination of drama, sexual tension, and humor, making it easy to fall in love with Ty and Zane as individuals and as a potential couple. You ache for them to be together as much as they do, even if they won't admit it. They are flawed men, both rough around the edges, but together they balance each other out. To say I was ecstatic to discover that there are more books in this series is an understatement. It's too bad Hollywood hasn't embraced gay romance/erotica as lucrative, because this would be an amazing movie.
