I would listen to this multiple times. It is excellent fiction with rich characters.
Luke has to be the favorite. He is an old soul with the fresh eyes of a child.
I love Michael Crichton, have read his books and enjoyed his imagination very much! Highly recommend him. Frances Cassidy is not my taste.
I find her voice grating and annoying.
All of them just give me a box of rocks, (which would be more interesting than this book).
I am a Crichton fan. This is not even a story. I didn't even finish it because I don't care what happens in the end. No depth to the book at all. Very disappointed!
This book was very disappointing from the beginning. Too many ridiculous tangents that caused a lack of depth in the story-line. Very difficult to get into. There were some great ideas but they were not put together well at all. The plot skimmed the surface of so many details and side stories that it was impossible to process all of these shallow tangents. It was like an out of control train wreck that was headed towards a very disturbing conclusion. Characters were introduced but not developed. Areas were introduced but not developed. The relationship between the newly introduced characters and locations were not adequately developed. Too many loose ends. It was disjointed and confusing. It is difficult to be specific without ruining the story for those who have not read it. My 11 year old child had a better Book #3 in this Series. He called it "Convergent" and it brought the story to a conclusion. I loved Book #1 and #2 but this one did not measure up.
No not at all, I love this genre.
Emma Galvin is amazing. Aaron Stanford was OK
Emma Galvin is amazing. I did like the direction that this book was headed, it just veered off course horribly taking many plot victims with it.
Claire Danes brings the characters to life. I have read the book, but found it a bit tedious as the plot is not straightforward. I enjoyed it more and understood it better as an audible book. It is a strange and quirky plot almost misogynist, but somehow believable fiction.
Any of the Moira scenes, especially her escape from the "Aunts"
"Don't wast your money, listen to the Claire Danes version on Audible"
I highly recommend this for people who like intelligent fiction.
