It was worth listening to for the historical information. But the way it was put across was slow. I could tell that the author wrote the book in order to oppose prevailing opinions on the depravity of the Borgias. In fact the author pretty much admits this in his introduction. The entire book is written to support the author's claims but does not do any justice to why so many scholars believe otherwise.
I would not recommend this book. My friends would be bored.
The narrator could have used a little more emotion in his performance. He read well but the content was so dry, it would have benefitted from a little more excitement from the narrator.
I would definitely recommend the book to a friend. It was interesting and kept my attention.
I have listened to many of these narrators' other performances. They always do very well.
I have either read or listened to maybe all of David Baldacci's books. I love them. This one was good, not his best, but good.
