Barry writes an interesting story of the limitations of the human body and what would happen if we decided to replace parts with machinery. It's a bit surface level, and I wish Barry had taken the social satire a bit deeper. The worst part is the narrator. It's almost painful listening to him.
Wiesel's account of his time in Auschwitz is different from many other survivors' accounts I've read as it focuses not as much on the facts of the experience, but of the emotional journey. Wiesel keeps nothing from his readers as he recounts his experience of WWII. The narrator is excellent and helps give even more life and depth to Wiesel's narrative. An excellent listen for anyone wanting a glimpse inside the heart and mind of a young, Jewish teenager sent to Auschwitz. Such an impactful listen.
This is a great, quick look back into Rolland's life. Very entertaining little story. Don't be put off by King narrating. At first, it's a bit painful, but you get into the rhythm of his readying fairly quickly.
Gaiman and Pratchett have written an absolutely hilarious book! The characters have so much, well, character. They're unforgettable. So creative and well narrated.
I loved Night Circus. Imaginative, exciting, well written and perfectly narrated (of course). It's a very different take on magic than anything I've read before. It's a great listen. Within the first couple of chapters, you'll be hooked!
