As the lead singer of the Doors, Jim Morrison's searing poetic vision and voracious appetite for sexual, spiritual, and psychedelic experience inflamed the spirit and psyche of a generation. Since his mysterious death in 1971, millions more fans from a new generation have embraced his legacy, as layers of myth have gathered to enshroud the life, career, and true character of the man who was James Douglas Morrison.

What did you love best about Jim Morrison?

The content itself, i think it could been poorly told and i would've liked it. But it was well told.

What did you like best about this story?

Jim's intensity toward freedom. I feel his whole life every day was an experiment for experience so he could create something, grow, or progress. He did what he wanted without any regard for rules and i'm envious. i feel like the slave he is mocking in the crowd....

Which character – as performed by Paul Michael – was your favorite?

    bla

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The son of a classical pianist straight out of the Bronx of old Archie comics, Steven Tyler was born to be a rock star. Weaned on Cole Porter, Nat King Cole, Mick and his beloved Janis Joplin, Tyler began tearing up the streets and the stage as a teenager before finally meeting his "mutant twin" and legendary partner, Joe Perry. In this addictively listenable memoir, Tyler unabashedly recounts the meteoric rise, fall, and rise of Aerosmith over the last three decades and riffs on the music that gives it all meaning.

Great listen. A lot of respect for his talent for walking (drawing) the line of dirty rocknroll and soulful ballads. He had it all; the voice, the look, the hooks, the personality and the lyrics. He got caught up in it and Dug himself out everytime. Should've been a better father though but a very cool dude.
