  • Hard Eight

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 36 mins)
    • By Janet Evanovich
    • Narrated By Lorelei King
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, her mentor Ranger, and a host of other - ahem - interesting characters set out to find a missing 7-year-old girl. The search becomes a race among Stephanie's posse, the True Blue Bonds Agency, and the crew of one very scary man named Eddie Abruzzi. Did we mention there's also a killer rabbit on the loose? The world of Stephanie Plum has never been wilder!

Highly entertaining......Action packed, hilarious adventures of Stephanie Plum the incredibly inept bounty hunter. During this tale you will feel at home with the characters and their family life. I actually laughed out loud. ENJOY

  • A Reckless Witch

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 29 mins)
    • By Debora Geary
    • Narrated By Martha Harmon Pardee
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

With great power comes great responsibility. So says the tradition of witching. One teenage witch missed that lesson.... As a child, Sierra Brighton traveled the world. She swam with the baby whales, danced in storm funnels, and lived in complete magical freedom. And then Momma died and Sierra ended up in foster care, an unhappy and very secret witch.

Fetched by Nell's spell, she'll no longer need to do magic on lonely beaches - but can Sierra learn to use her power safely? Or will her reckless blood put Witch Central at risk?

    "Like Friends"
Would you consider the audio edition of A Reckless Witch to be better than the print version?

Yes - I have both the book and audible version. When listening you get a different perspective - totally engrossing.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that it's a character drama. They feel like friends

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book made me both laugh and cry depending on the scene. Can't give you details or I'll spoil it for you. Debora Geary has created a wonderful world that combines the supernatural without vampires or werewolves, just a family like atmosphere that makes you want more.

  • NOS4A2: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (19 hrs and 41 mins)
    • By Joe Hill
    • Narrated By Kate Mulgrew
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

Jacqueline says: "Finish to Start Excellent is Novel This"
    "Great characters"
If you could sum up NOS4A2 in three words, what would they be?

    Engrossing, fallible characters, creepy

What other book might you compare NOS4A2 to and why?

    the heart shaped box

What three words best describe Kate Mulgrew’s voice?

she does a good job - but "bing" is soooo annoying can't tell if it's her narration or just the character

If you could take any character from NOS4A2 out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Lou - such an affable man

  • Gods in Alabama

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 6 mins)
    • By Joshilyn Jackson
    • Narrated By Catherine Taber

When Arlene Fleet heads up north for college, she makes three promises to God: She will stop fornicating with every boy who crosses her path; never tell another lie; and never, ever go back to the "fourth rack of hell", her hometown of Possett, Alabama. All she wants from Him is one little miracle: make sure the body is never found.

Nicole says: "I couldn't turn it off!"
    "Really enjoyable"

This type of book isn't really my cup of tea - I thought! What an engrossing story, kept me driving around the block. The character development was amazing, you felt the emotion and their growth. I want more from this author.

If you want a semi - emotional solid piece of fiction listen to Gods in Alabama.

  • Hard Magic: Book I of the Grimnoir Chronicles

    • UNABRIDGED (15 hrs and 59 mins)
    • By Larry Correia
    • Narrated By Bronson Pinchot

Jake Sullivan is a licensed private eye with a seriously hardboiled attitude. He also possesses raw magical talent and the ability to make objects in his vicinity light as a feather or as heavy as depleted uranium, all with a magical thought. It's no wonder the G-men turn to Jake when they need someoneto go after a suspected killer who has been knocking off banks in a magic-enhanced crime spree.

Clinton says: "Not what I thought it was going to be."
    "wow... really really good"

The reader was amazing - the story even better. I bought this during the 4.99 sale. So glad I did. I now have a new author in my collection. You need to listen to this book (and second in the series)!

Even four years after the sudden death of his wife, best selling novelist Mike Noonan can't stop grieving, nor can he return to his writing. He moves into his isolated house by the lake, which becomes the site of ghostly visitations, ever-escalating nightmares, and the sudden recovery of his writing ability. What are the forces that have been unleashed here - and what do they want of Mike Noonan?

Amazon Customer says: "My Favorite King Novel"
    "Bag of Bones (Unabridged)"

Bag of Bones is the one of my top three favorite books of all times. Read by Steven King himself, your our brought into the mind of a fiction writer who is griving his wife. If you are a fiction fan you need to give this book a try, you've never regret it.
