The "work-from-home" phenomenon is thoroughly explored in this illuminating new audiobook from best-selling 37signals founders Fried and Hansson, who point to the surging trend of employees working from home (and anywhere else) and explain the challenges and unexpected benefits. Most important, they show why - with a few controversial exceptions such as Yahoo - more businesses will want to promote this new model of getting things done.

What would have made Remote better?

Lots of repeated 3rd party product endorsements which feel unauthentic. Not useful for anyone who already interacts with remote workers.

Would you ever listen to anything by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson again?

    Nope.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Rebecca Lowman?

    she's fine

Some ideas are bigger than others, and the Master Idea - your company's purpose - is the biggest. Whether addressing communication between leadership and associates, suppliers to manufacturers, sales force to customers, or brand to consumers, The Story of Purpose details a proven methodology for businesses, small to large, how to build a purpose-inspired organization to positively impact employees, customers, and the bottom line. What would have made The Story of Purpose better?

If Reiman never wrote a book.

What was most disappointing about Joey Reiman’s story?

The author is self gloating with no insight. Uses latin for no reason. Thinks that Delta and McDonalds are purpose driven...

What didn’t you like about Joey Reiman’s performance?

Only gloats about past clients but has no facts to present. Presents end results and assumes they must fit back into a purpose.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Pissed i wasted my time on this trash.

    Any additional comments?

I'll save those for if I'm ever in the same room as Reiman.
