Father Tim and Cynthia arrive in the west of Ireland, intent on researching his Kavanagh ancestry from the comfort of a charming fishing lodge. The charm, however, is broken entirely when Cynthia startles a burglar and sprains her already injured ankle. Then a cherished and valuable painting is stolen from the lodge owners, and Cynthia's pain pales in comparison to the wound at the center of this bitterly estranged Irish family.

    R. Jones says: "Good as ever, but...."

The house guests at Styles seemed perfectly pleasant to Captain Hastings, so he was shocked to learn from Hercule Poirot's declaration that one of them was a five-time murderer. True, the aging detective was crippled with arthritis, but had his deductive instincts finally deserted him? Poirot alone knows he must prevent a sixth murder before the curtain falls.

Includes The Nemean Lion, The Lernean Hydra, The Arcadian Deer, The Erymanthian Boar, The Augean Stables, The Stymphalean Birds, The Cretan Bull, The Horses of Diomedes, The Girdle of Hyppolita, The Flock of Geryon, The Apples of the Hesperides, and The Capture of Cerberus.

It has been just six months since David Herrick lost his beloved wife, Jessica. The grief is still an open wound. So when he receives an invitation to a reunion of long-lost friends, David's first impulse is to refuse. After all, two decades have passed since he was in the same youth group with these people. But the invitation comes from Angela, one of his wife's oldest friends, and mysteriously, she claims she has something for him from his late wife.

I found this book while searching for Father Gilbert Mysteries. Plass, who voices Gilbert in the radio dramas, reches his full hieghts here and the results rival Christie Doyle or Stout. As a mystery buff, I highly recomend this and Plass' other works including the Father Gilbert series

Three single girls share a London flat. The first works as a secretary; the second is an artist; the third, who comes to Poirot for help, disappears believing she is a murderer. There are rumours of revolvers, flick-knives, and blood stains. But, without hard evidence, it will take all of Poirot's tenacity to establish whether the third girl is guilty, innocent - or insane.
