Okay I listen to books with a somewhat hindered attention span and I found both of Blake Crouch's book easy to follow, this being said any book that I don't have to rewind five thousand times gets at least a three. I really enjoyed this two part saga however I found the characters rather one dimensional and lack luster hence the three on story line.
The author did a good job of catching my attention I don't feel that he added any insight into life although I don't feel that was his intent. He writes a decent thriller.
Nothing he did a great job enhancing the overall experience of the book a good narrator and can make a book or break it. This guy made it in my opinion.
I think just about anybody would find this book fairly entertaining Blake Crouch is a mix of Harlan Coben mixed with James Patterson not to bad.
This book was nothing like the first two books, and it was incredibly violent. I feel like the author ran out of a story line and got in touch with his dark side.
I am not sure, maybe if it had not been written.
He is just a really decent narrator, smooth voice.
No, not one.
If you enjoyed the first two books, I would recommend not reading or listening to the third. The author went from decent mystery to full blown horror. I honestly was sick listening to this book, overkill.
Good can triumph
I just sit in awe of this type of courage, the fact that Carolyn had enough energy to write a book after the harrowing life she faced is a blessing.
I thought this narrator had a rather soothing voice and she made this a easy listen.
Not really this book was a tad slow but had a lot of good information.
I believe the courage to write these books always warrants four stars but I did enjoy Carolyn's first book quite bit more.
I really enjoyed the smooth tone of Robin Bloodworth, his voice was easy on the ears.
The fact that we heard a pretty decent description of what it is like to defend someone so sick. I have always wondered how someone could take on a case like this and now I know. Did John Wayne Gacy deserve the best defense I don't know but in America this is what we pride ourselves on I guess.
I cannot answer that question just relief there was no question on whether this guy was indeed guilty, that made it easier knowing he wouldn't walk away from the carnage he left behind.
A lot of sadness for the parents that lost there sons to this sadistic four letter word.
I would feel compelled to justify my defense of a criminal such as Gacy if I had been his defense attorney. Glad he wrote a book, he seemed to be a reasonable enough guy someone had to do the job. I also have to say I am relieved this book did not cover to many gory details making the book stomach-able, when I purchased the book I was prepared to shut it off if it got to personal on the horrible details it was moderate on that level.
Yes, while I rated this book just okay I did listen to the whole thing, it was not to bad.
I have never listed to any of his books but since I found this book decent I would listen to another one in the future.
The narrator did not aggrevate me which is huge these days, so I enjoyed his reading style.
If you like books that have somewhat of the mystery factor and you can stand some small torture scenes you would like this book. The writer is not as intense as say Stephen King or Peter Straub so I liked that about this book. If you liked the book Shutter Island than this book while not as good is similiar.
It was cute a different type of book for me.
Ummmm I guess Shopaholic, I don't normally listen to this type of book but its cute.
Top ten. I really like Scott Lynch, George R R Martin, Sanderson, ect but I enjoyed Anthony Ryan on a whole new level.
The Order's different dimensions, fighting for the faith.
Vaelin the main character was the best. I won't get into why I don't write paragraphs on what the book is about, because I believe if you like a book it won't be the lengthy tell all that you enjoy.
Just thrilled to find such an awesome listen.
I have been through so many books with rave reviews and have been a bit disheartened in finding a book I could love. The reviewers of Blood Song are right Anthony Ryan is the best. I don't give five stars as I find most books fall short but Ryan earned it!
I was not aware that this was a book for LDS fans.
I would not have printed it period.
I cannot stand promotion of religions I disagree with, this book was awful.
Personally, I do not mind Gregg Olsen, but what was he thinking? So to answer the question, I would say no to publishing this period.
Any book that causes the mind drama with disgusting sexual detail.
He was a side note to the gruesome scenes that painted vivid images on my brain, yuck.
This book is not so much about the crimes as about the homo sexual sex the main character was into, much too graphic. If you like true crime almost any book by Olsen is better.
Great audio reader for teens
Definitely, this is a new Divergent or Hunger Games.
This book is great for anyone under the age twenty-five.
