According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch - the world's only totally reliable guide to the future - the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just after tea...The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, the Four Bikers of the apocalypse are revving up, and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not particularly looking forward to the coming rapture.

Would you consider the audio edition of Good Omens to be better than the print version?

I am so glad that I chose to get the audio book as I was struggling with the printed version. Since I do not read a lot of fantasy, listening to Stephen Briggs I found that he gave each character a personality what my mind could not conjure. The story was well thought out, well constructed and each characters had a purpose. Funny, funny funny. I guffawed for at least 7 of the 10 hours of the book. Another one please:)

When F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote The Great Gatsby in the early 1920s, the American Dream was already on the skids. Originally based on the idea that the pursuit of happiness involves not only material success but moral and spiritual growth, the dream had by Fitzgerald's time become increasingly focused on money and pleasure - a phenomenon the high-living writer was only too familiar with.

If you could sum up The Great Gatsby in three words, what would they be?

I have always wanted to read this book and as the first Audible book I bought I am glad I did. Jane Pauley has the perfect voice to bring the era into life without overdoing the whole over-the-top lifestyle the characters are.
The story is classic and beautiful, and Miss Pauley certainly did it justice.
