Hillary Clinton’s surprising defeat in the 2008 Democratic primary brought her to the nadir of her political career, vanquished by a much younger opponent whose message of change and cutting-edge tech team ran circles around her stodgy campaign. And yet, six years later, she has reemerged as an even more powerful and influential figure, a formidable stateswoman and the presumed front-runner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, marking one of the great political comebacks in history.

    Any additional comments?

With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A solid plot, not one sex driven!

Would you ever listen to anything by Nora Roberts again?

Some of her Irish trilogy's are well written.

What three words best describe Katherine Kellgren’s voice?

She enunciates the Irish dialect very well.

What character would you cut from Dark Witch?

I liked all of the characters, it is the story line which I found redundant!

Would you try another book from Alex Berenson and/or George Guidall?

We found the story subject matter to depressing and morally degrading.

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Yes, he is excellent.

Scotland Yard’s new chief inspector Nicholas Drummond is on the first flight to New York when he learns his colleague, Elaine York, the "minder" of the Crown Jewels for the "Jewel of the Lion" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was found murdered. Then the centerpiece of the exhibit, the infamous Koh-i-Noor Diamond, is stolen from the Queen Mother’s crown. Drummond, American-born but raised in the UK, is a dark, dangerous, fast-rising star in the Yard who never backs down. And this case is no exception.

Ronda says: "A very good beginning for a new series!"

What made the experience of listening to The Final Cut the most enjoyable?

My wife and I anxiously awaited each nights dinner to listen to exceptional characters and a plot that keeps you immersed in the story. The narrators did an outstanding performance. A MUST READ!
