fabulous book. must read first two before. story picks right up and you are on the edge of your seat until the end.
while i am certain a lot of this book is factual, it portrays us as heartless assassins out to destroy all whom are a perceived threat. i use the word perceived as the author paints a picture basically of whomever we dont like, we send drones or special ops out to kill them. in fact, more often than not, we are told that children are killed as a result of drone strikes directed at high target values regardless of the circumstances.
for once i would like to read an unbiased slant in either direction as to what is going on. it is clear to me that the author is not an Obama fan. i believe him to be anti war under any circumstances.
if you have ever served in the military, please do not listen to or read this boook.
kept giving benefit of the doubt as his tv productions are fabulous. this book leaves a lot to be desired. couldnt wait for it to end.
while i found the subject matter and story fascinating, i also wanted it to end quickly. there was to much defense and not enough detail of what really goes on in the trenches.
the team of tom clancy and lou diamond phillips have done it again. every time i listen to lou and the clancy story, i swear its the best one yet. this one is on top of the charts. Lou, please continue to narrate as you are really good at it.
This story about AJohn Puller is the best in the series so far. i find the author's story almost impossible to put down. This particular story broken into small chapters have you wishing for the next chapter to start before you are finished listening to the current one.
David Baldacci is a terrific writer but he has outdone himself with this one! only took less than a week to complete this book. thanks for a wonderful story.
this is one of the best books i have had the priviledge of listening to in a long time. not only is the story and performance outstanding, but the history of a conspiracy that most people dont remember is brought back to the present.oreilly has outdone himself this time. truly a remarkable and enjoyable read. the historical facts are fascinating and the question about the true conspiracy may still remain. thanks much for a great story in historical fact oreilly.
excellent story line and performance is top notch. had me on edge for most of book.
