I am rendered speechless, my mind reeling. I have read this story before, and yet I am still overwhelmed by the depth of emotion and staggering thoughts I have about this book. Having just read the last line, I sit here trying to wrap my mind around what I want to say, and my only coherent thought is....Wow!
This was clearly on of the best books I have ever read in a long time. Outstanding in all respects Excellent WWII story about French resistance,Great soul.
Consciousness, Aging, and the New Millennium and An Evening with Ram Dass:This book is the most amazingly beautiful book I have ever encountered. Reading it brings more love into my heart than even the Bagavad-Gita!
Extraordinary. One of a kind deconstruction of a family. Exquisite surprising and heartbreakingly elegant. A great story of a family that has kept secrets from each other that have nearly destroyed their family.Excellent book - buy it!
If you are the daughter of the parents that are Aging you must read this book . Medical science is designed to prevent us from doing that prematurely. But, sometimes, we need to step back and look at the meaning of the word "prematurely." When is it time to let go? When is it time to go full out? What is the meaning of quality of life?
I love how vulnerable she made herself when giving examples of her definitions. Shame is difficult to talk about, imperfection is difficult to talk about, being wrong is difficult to talk about; but, Brene talks about all of those things in a way that guides the reader to not only understand big concepts but also to see how they work in their own lives.
She's a master storyteller and teacher.
Not a book to be read completely in a single sitting, but a great one to simply stand back and digest each amazing chapter. How on earth, or in heaven, does she do it? Every time I re-read a chapter something new jumps out at me. It has been a joy. Thank you.
One of the best books I've read in a long time.
I have been a Coben fan for years. He hasn't disappointed yet!!
His ability to paint a picture with words to tell a complex story is amazing, Makes a compelling case for changes in financial markets in a way that the average investor can understand.
Matthiessen is the Master who paints with words and reveals an aspect of life that others
only experience when their eyes absorb that gulp of truth so clearly their heart will never be the same .
It is the story of a 1996 gathering of people at Auschwitz. They had come together to pry, meditate,
and contemplate on a deep lever the horrors that had transpired in this place.
The way everything is explained is so in depth and easy to understand. I look forward to implementing all the knowledge I have leaned from this outstanding book.
