I would and have recommended this book.Well in this volume its the overwhelming feeling the I am reading my own zombie diary. The Sarcasm of the lead Mike even in the grimmest of situations makes you laugh.
I have to go for one out of many and its not a spoiler but at the very beginning when mike describes a zombie as Sir Licks a lot. Thats part of the sarcastic nature that reeled me in.
his voice work while very good for certain characters was great Like mike his sons and friend Paul work well others like Ms. Denoe and mikes daughter were not as they played in my head.
Yes, It shows the Mongols in a light that traditional american studies has obscured. We are taught about the Mongols and Genghis Khan were ruthless savages instead of highlighting the facts of Mongols and the basic civilization and structures that most of societies are built on.
The beauty of the story of a man who rather then living in ignorance uses his knowledge to unite people and when encountering peoples of differing religions does not attempt to convert them as the as Muslims and Christian Templar's had but instead learns from them.
Both performers were enjoyable to listen to, Though I found Jonathan Davis to be a bit better.
I broke it up but, It would be enjoyable in a single run if someone had the time.
Epic story. After Infected I wanted more and Scott gave me a metric ton of great story I have listened to this book no less then 15 times I love it.
No really you must be joking this is a great original story. Margret, Clarence, Perry Dawsey, Drew "MFing " Phillips. Its a amazing cast with great back stories the leave you wanting even more.
I want to say its his voices even when I read the books I still here Drew and his calm delivery as he gently talks to Margret about whats going on around them as he stitches her hand up.
OH MY GOD Perry Dawsey baby has to be I want to sit down and have a beer with that crazy man. Come on its mister made of mean a loon after my own heart.
I would consider the Audio better because Scott imparts an amazing feeling to his characters.
NONE. Scott has a true original here the premise and the attention to detail are great.
I can not say because it would be a spoiler and I can not ruin it for listeners.
YOU GOT TO HAVE DISCIPLINE.
I have read and listened to allot of books and This was not one on my radar at first. I was able to get the podiobook version of this and had listened o it because it was free. I have listened to the podio version roughly 15 times and was compelled to buy the book to give this author his due. This is a great story it start a bit slow but about and hour in I was dying to hear what was next listen in the car, on breaks, in stead of watching television, hell I blocked out my wife to listen to every moment of the book. The voice work the imagery everything works so well listen to this then great Book II Contagious. Best purchase you can make. If you into hardcore horror, mystery and a bit of the old ultra-violence get this book now.
This audiobook is the second best i have ever listened to, It not only is heartfelt but insightful. Its a honest and unassuming book. Stories from a man that grew up poor made it to Hollywood and came back a person not a celebrity completely full of himself. Great story telling .
Listening to Kevin through out the book was amazing and give the book a great person feel like hes in the room just telling you about his life.
yes i have listened to it twice so far and look forward to listen to it again
The music in concert with great narrator made this audio book amazing the story is enjoyable but the accompaniments ( Sound effects, music) made it come alive.
Bastila had to be my favorite. As Revan's companion she was the truly strongest character.
The Narrator does a great jobn with all voice work.
I wanted to sadly my schedule did not allow. But like any good book I was always in a hurry to get back to it.
