After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

This was SUCH a good book, I enjoyed every thrill packed minute. James Marsters IS Harry Dresden. This book was one of Jim Butcher's best. Exciting from beginning to end. All the characters are back. I couldn't stop listening. At the end all I could think is 'WOW what a ride!" I'd give it 6 stars, if I could.

Only sad part is that the book is over and I have to wait a year for another.

In a world of demons, goblins, witches, sirens, werewolves, vampires, and so much more, it can be difficult to determine who is guilty of what and why. Chris White is a detective who fearlessly investigates this supernatural world, himself a unique product of it. He will take any case brought to him, but has a particular affinity for helping those who inhabit the poor districts of his city. From strange rituals and runaway vampires, to fighting sorcerers and confronting a demon lord, this paranormal detective will face any challenge - even a dance with the devil.

This book contained many explicit male on male sexual situations. The sex in this book did not add to the story, in fact the story was pretty weak. Maybe the title should have been Sex with the Devil.

Three years ago, Caro Warrick was acquitted for the murder of her best friend, Amelia Bettecourt, but the lingering doubts of everyone around Caro is adversely affecting her life. Sharon McCone is confident that she can succeed where other detectives have failed (though at times it's hard to shake her own misgivings about what happened), but when Caro is brutally beaten right at Sharon's doorstep, the investigation takes on a whole new course. How many more people remain at risk until Amelia's murderer is finally caught? This audio includes a bonus McCone story, "Skeleton in the Closet"!

If you could sum up Looking for Yesterday in three words, what would they be?

    Great Mystery Book!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

As the story unfolded in all it's complexities, I thought that I had figured it out. I was really wrong!

Which character – as performed by Laura Hicks – was your favorite?

My favorite character was of course the central character, Sharon McCone.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book kept my interest, it was hard to stop listening. I usually only listen in my car, but this book was too exciting, so I finished it at home.

    Any additional comments?

If you like mysteries, this is one not to be missed. A really good book with well drawn characters and a plot which kept me interested to the end. I recommend it highly.

    For Dog Lovers

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

This book had so many fun ideas, the author really understands dogs. He does such a great job of anthropomorphizing the dogs in this book.

What does Anthony Reece bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Anthony Reece did an incredible job of giving each dog a voice of their own. He really captured 'dog'. I truly enjoyed his reading of this book. He made it so much more enjoyable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

This book had so many 'tongue in cheek' doggy moments. Some were hilarious, some sad.

    Any additional comments?

Oh how I wish that my dogs could talk like these and that I could understand.

Here, together for the first time, are the shorter works of best-selling author Jim Butcher - a compendium of cases that Harry and his cadre of allies managed to close in record time. The tales range from the deadly serious to the absurdly hilarious.

Really fun set of short stories. James Marsters IS Harry Dresden. I love the narration. The stories were great, it was especially good to have the introduction before each story with a description of where it fit in the Dresden 'timeline'.

When we last left the mighty wizard detective Harry Dresden, he wasn't doing well. In fact, he had been murdered by an unknown assassin. But being dead doesn't stop him when his friends are in danger. Except now he has nobody, and no magic to help him. And there are also several dark spirits roaming the Chicago shadows who owe Harry some payback of their own. To save his friends - and his own soul - Harry will have to pull off the ultimate trick without any magic....

I was really disappointed that the 'regular' Dresden narrator, James Marsters, did not read this book. He is really much better than John Glover, giving the characters individual personalities. Marsters brought Dresden's sarcasm to life.

Featuring David Sedaris's unique blend of hilarity and heart, this new collection of keen-eyed animal-themed tales is an utter delight. Though the characters may not be human, the situations in these stories bear an uncanny resemblance to the insanity of everyday life.

I don't know why this book is on the best seller list, I thought that it was awful. All the short stories had dark themes, some were mean-spirited. Most of the characters were shallow and uninteresting, the problems that they faced were predictable, as were the outcomes.
