Blue Collar Comedy star Bill Engvall is just a guy. He's been one his whole life. He can't help it; he was born that way. And that makes him an expert on the subject. For the record, here's the official definition of a guy: a person who doesn't think before he speaks. He can't. He's not that deep. Because a guy has only three basic needs: eating, sleeping, and sex. That's it. Just a Guy chronicles a lifetime in pursuit of those needs.

It was a crime of senseless violence. On a cold night in a remote Swedish farmhouse, an elderly farmer was bludgeoned to death, his wife left to die with a noose around her neck. As if this didn't present enough problems for Ystad police inspector Kurt Wallander, the dying woman's last word, his only tangible clue, were foreign. If publicized, they could be the match that would inflame Sweden's already smoldering anti-immigrant sentiments.

Well, I had high hopes but alas...This is NO Dragon Tattoo. It was like it started as a good idea, but then he got tired of writing by the end of the book. I know that this is the first of a series, but i think a book in a series should stand on its own. I have read better.

I knew Manson was sick, but this painted him sicker than I ever IMAGINED. I tend to read fiction and only sprinkling in non-fiction occasionally. This is defintely worth the non-fiction selection. Very captivating and uterly entertaining, in a VERY sick way...

Today is Leonard Peacock's birthday. It is also the day he hides a gun in his backpack. Because today is the day he will kill his former best friend, and then himself, with his grandfather's P-38 pistol. But first he must say good-bye to the four people who matter most to him: his Humphrey Bogart - obsessed next-door neighbor, Walt; his classmate Baback, a violin virtuoso; Lauren, the Christian homeschooler he has a crush on; and Herr Silverman, who teaches the high school's class on the Holocaust.

I read Silver Linings and this was a total surprise. It was so sad, but at the same time AMAZING and CRAZY and sometimes even FUN. The book description does not do the story justice.

There isn't much fun in the sun when a billionaire real estate tycoon is found murdered on the Tilt-a-Whirl at a seedy seaside amusement park in the otherwise quiet summer tourist town of Sea Haven. John Ceepak, a former MP just back from Iraq, has just joined the Sea Haven police department. The job offer came from an old Army buddy who hoped to give Ceepak at least a summer's worth of rest and relaxation to help him forget the horrors of war. Instead, Ceepak will head up the murder investigation.

This was a great story. I love that they give you all of the clues, so you can figure it out while reading the story. Also, there is comic relief. The only reason I gave the story 4 stars was because I thought the story had some slow parts, but overall it was VERY GOOD!

Once again, David Sedaris brings together a collection of essays so uproariously funny and profoundly moving that his legions of fans will fall for him all over again. He tests the limits of love when Hugh lances a boil from his backside, and pushes the boundaries of laziness when, finding the water shut off in his house in Normandy, he looks to the water in a vase of fresh cut flowers to fill the coffee machine.

Six years of keeping his promise to leave Natalie alone, and six years of tortured dreams of her life with her new husband, Todd. There he gets the glimpse of Todd’s wife he’s hoping for...but she is not Natalie....

My friend is a HUGE Stephen King fan. He recommended this book. Typical Stephen King is too long winded for me, but this book was GREAT. Great speed, great story, great characters. A little ghosts and a little magic, but mostly a murder mystery. A twist like Sixth Sense. Shorter than most Stephen King, but s very rich story.
