The first disturbing reports reached Delta Force Lieutenant Colonel Charley Castillo in the form of backchannel messages concerning covert U.S. intelligence assets working for a variety of agencies suddenly gone missing and then, suddenly, inexplicably, found dying. Or dead. One in Budapest, Hungary. One in Kiev, Ukraine. One in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, mere klicks from the Iran border.

Would you try another book from David Baldacci and/or Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ?

    No

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

    Nothing stands out

What aspect of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance would you have changed?

I would try a new female reader. Ms. Cassidy does absolutely nothing to alter her voice. Can be confusing, with female to female conversations.

Could you see The Escape being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Might be easier way to understand story. Unless Ms Cassidy plays all female roles.

    Any additional comments?

    Patterson in churning mode.
    Needs to wake up.

The USS Vicksburg is returning home when the crew comes upon a lifeboat bearing a dead Somali pirate who shows signs of torture. Questions immediately arise: Who is this man, and which ship did he come from? Who tortured him? Soon Red Cell analysts Kyra Stryker and Jonathan Burke have traced the dead man back to an Iranian ship currently bound for Venezuela - and the ship appears to have dangerous, radioactive cargo on board.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    Nothing

What was most disappointing about Mark Henshaw’s story?

I would rather have a meaningful conversation with a schizophrenic, gave up after 30 minutes.

Some mistakes can change your life forever. For Matt Hunter, that mistake came in one terrible moment when his attempt to help a friend and stop a fight resulted in an accidental death. Matt was convicted of manslaughter and sent to prison. Time that his peers spent in college, Matt endured behind bars.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

    Adequate

If you’ve listened to books by Harlan Coben before, how does this one compare?

Coben has changed his stye. In "No Second Chance" and this book he overdoses on hackneyed cliches and metaphors and too many subplots. From now on if there is not a Bolitar in the book, I'll pass.

Did Scott Brick do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

    Satisfactory

Do you think The Innocent needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

    God no!

The case becomes personal when Spenser fails to protect his client and the valuable painting remains stolen. A serial killer watches and waits. Each time, he takes two victims, preparing the first's body with all the clues the police need to find the second, who is still alive. The clock ticks, and the second one can still be saved. But the police never make it in time. The second one dies. For years, the killer has plagued the city with the same pattern, but the police never pick up on it quickly enough.

The Vagina Monologues is a moving, poignant and often hilarious play, which celebrates female sexuality in all its complexity and mystery. Originally drawn from a collection of interviews conducted by Eve Ensler, the Obie Award-winning play gives voice to some of the most intimate, rarely shared fantasies and fears of women from all walks of life.
