Love this book the narrators English accent made this book real, it had my attention for start to finish I enjoyed every word
This book takes us back to a time that should have been all roses a chicken in every pot and 2 cars in every driveway but we all had dirty little secrets, the writer was able to make us laugh at ourselves and hope that we were all like the character skeeter, it helped us remember a time that was heart breaking and sad, this book is for anyone who has compassion, i enjoyed it from front cover to back and will listen to it many times over.
All the Amanda quick books are compiling and filled with romance, sometimes I am never sure if it is the narrator (Anne Flosnik) that makes it for me or not she is awesome. I often find my self listing more then once to each book and each time it seems like the first time. The writing is always done in a way that I understand even if I have never heard the old English word before I know what she is talking about. This book is just as impacting as all the others, I did not like the earl at first felt him a little to hard headed but then the story came around so that my heart went to him as well.
I had a hard time at first getting into the book and focus my mind kept wondering and had to play the opening chapter over at least 3 times to understand what was happening once I past that stage the story was great
There are three books in this series once again the English accent made it for me, I enjoyed every word it left me wanting more of the pair i do hope there will be more on them, they are kinda family now
This book held my interest from start to finish; the 2 main characters were very believable I felt as if I knew them; the narrator is very good she has a lot of emotion in her voice which adds to making you feel like you're a apart of it all, there was lots of suspense right from the start which I like and it locked its self into the other books in this series, its worth buying. At the end I wanted more.
