"I didn't think he wanted me. And I wasn't about to get involved with him, not after what I'd heard. Sure, Alex Kennedy was tall, dark and unbearably hot, but I've been burned before. When I solicited him to model for my erotic photography book, I didn't expect such a heated, passionate photo session. And now that we've crossed that line, our bodies aren't the only things that have been exposed."

I have all of the Megan Hart that are on Audible and this is another great one. It was nice to see her introduce some characters for other books. I was on the edge of my seat the last few hours thinking it was going to end a certain way but it went another.....love it! The narrator also did a great job!!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I couldn't even listen because of the narrator....

What didn’t you like about Madeleine Bundy’s performance?

It was AWFUL!!! WHY oh WHY did you switch narrators? I am sure she would do fine on a book that didn't include male voices but this was does BIG TIME, she TOTALLY RUINS it, I didn't make it past the first chapter....I waited and waited for this to be out on audible and it was a waste....she doesn't even modulate her voice for a male voice I was listening and didn't even know it was Seth's POV

    Any additional comments?

I love this author but this narrator totally ruined the book for me, you can't tell when its a female or male because she doesn't change her voice. I waited and waited for rubbish. Listen to the first two and READ the third. PLEASE oh PLEASE DON"T use this narrator again!!

It is A.D. 1486. Fresh from his treacherous turning of the tides against Richard III in the Battle of Bosworth, Sir Gaston de Russe's reputation is dark and dirty. Those loyal to Richard hate him and those loyal to Henry Tudor fear him. He is, after all, The Dark One. In order to gain a strong foothold in Yorkshire, Henry sends Gaston to one of the largest fortresses in the north, a massive bastion called Mt. Holyoak Castle.

I really enjoyed this book, this is my third book by this author and I am surprised at how different they all are and they are all great! I would recommend ANY books by this author. I think this one is my favorite, I laughed and cried and even though it is extremely long it didn't feel like it. I totally cried in one scene and it was freaking out my kids but TOTALLY worth it! Of course love triumphs in the end but the journey to the end was fabulous!

When Sinners tie the knot, things don't always go as planned. Lead guitarist Brian Sinclair may have finally won Professor Myrna Evans heart and her consent to wed, but being part of a high-maintenance band might just ruin his long-anticipated wedding day and steamy wedding night. Will the couple ever find a moment's peace or are some things more important than a night of uninhibited love-making?

I was actually surprised by the book, the first few band members weddings were just what I expected a lot of laughs and sex but Jace and 'Mistress V's story is totally different than the others and I really appreciated it. I love the other books and have listened to them all multiple times but I was starting to feel a bit smutty with all that sex and nothing really else to go along with it so it was really nice to have some substance in the last portion of the book. If you loved the first books you will really enjoy this one.

I really enjoyed the first book so I purchased this one (couldn't wait for credits) and it was well worth the money. The book did have me on the edge of my seat the entire book just waiting for **spoiler alert** Trey to do something diabolical but nothing....I don't know if there will be a third book where he does attempt something or not, I was confused because he was so obsessed with Tensely and then to just let her go seemed a bit out of character. Other than that this was a fabulous read and I am sure I will read it again soon,

What did you love best about Off the Record?

I really enjoyed that it kept me guessing iOS thought the main character was going to do one thing and he would do something totally different and the ending was a huge surprise!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Off the Record?

Many memories to just pick one I can tell you that I could not put the book down I didn't sleep at all I listen to offer the night I'm tired as can be but it was totally worth it. The lessons are great not too graphic not too many not too little it was an all-around fabulous read I'm really excited for the next installment to come out.

What about Natalie Ross’s performance did you like?

She is a fabulous narrator she can do the males voice is the female voices and doesn't have a problem switching back-and-forth she's a flawless narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think the last two minutes of the book is what hit me the most.

    Any additional comments?

Anyone likes romance should get this book, the price is fabulous you don't even have to use a credit and it's definitely worth the listen! I will definitely read/listen to this again and keep my eyes open for the next installment to come out!

Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge. As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn’t always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

What did you like best about this story?

This was an EXCELLENT addition to the Dark-Hunter series, it explains a lot and about Acheron and his past. I cried, I laughed and I have listened to this book 6 times, considering how long this book is that should tell you a lot! Styxx is funny, sexy and I have to admit I might actually like him MORE than Acheron....

What about Fred Berman’s performance did you like?

I love Fred Berman, he is consistent with his performance and can do male and female inflections perfectly. I will always give a book a chance is Fred Berman is the narrator!

    Any additional comments?

If you are a Dark-Hunter fan then this is a must, don't let the length scare you away it is worth the time and make sure you have some tissue with you, you WILL need it! I never pictured Styxx and such a funny and sarcastic man but the reader only had the point of view from his tortured brother, bi-polar sister and tyrannical father.

Hard-hitting and powerful, this psychological thriller has it all; sex, murder, power, glamour, secrets, lies, revenge and wicked moments of laugh out loud. Set in the colourful underbelly of glitterati London and the stunning Amalfi Coast. Stalkers, prostitutes, ex SAS, footballers, WAGs and the British press pay the price of childhood secrets, an abused cherubic choirboy pays the price of beauty and ladies who lunch pay the price of greed, deceit and lust - as evil steps centre stage. It’s no wonder this one's going to Hollywood.

I am really not sure what to say about this book. I am not sure why it is in erotic (I am sure the publisher/audible does but it escaped me) there were a lot of twists and turns and I totally did not see the last one and for that reason I gave it 4 stars.

Of course ONLY because of the last twist will I have to get the next book. Overall the book is good just odd, I know that doesn't help the prospective listener a lot but that is the best word I can use.

The author does a good job narrating, I usually won't get books where the narrator is the author, so I think that helped with the flow of the book. A standard narrator really could have messed the book up if they didn't know the intent of the author.

With all of that said it was a good book, I have to admit I couldn't listen to it all at once like I usually do but it did keep drawing me back into it so that must say something.

I am anxious to see what other readers have to say about it.....

Welcome to Gor, a parallel Earth, where social norms are exotic and the way of life is brutal. In the fifth book in the Gorean Series, the deadly assassin Kuurus is intent on a bloody mission of vengeance. His adventure takes him from the caste of the pleasure-slaves, which are rigorously trained in the rules and techniques of sexual ecstasy, to the brutal arenas where humans participate in deadly hand-to-hand combat. He witnesses violence, conflict and uncertainty, as the inhabitants of Counter-Earth are forced to confront their destinies…no matter how exalted or debased.

    Overall

This was OK. This was my first book by John Norman I know this one is smack dab in the middle of a huge series but I didn't feel lost at all.

I did have a problem with the writing style, the I said she said back and forth got REALLY old. I also felt there was WAY too much description, don't get me wrong you need a good amount but it seems like the author would go off on tangents on descriptions of things that I didn't need to or care to know.

The love scenes, at least by today's standards, was non existent.

The narrator was ok but for the female voices he just sounded like a drag queen (nothing against drag queens) and so I had a hard time listening to the female voices, lucky it is told mostly in first person.

Overall an interesting read that I am not sad I purchased but would not purchase any more from John Norman, it's just not my cup of tea.
