Maybe. It's an easy listen and Phil's son Alan does a good job reading it. I like Phil's raw simplicity and non-overbearing intelligence. He doesn't hold back and I like that in a person. Honesty is always refreshing.
Ms. Kay for her perseverance, strength, faith, love, determination, and simple beauty.
No. Relaxing read yet thought provoking.
The uniqueness of the futuristic storyline.
Delirium. Very similar writing styles, as well as age based genre equalities.
No. It was slow in parts, and the narrator's voice easily made me sleepy.
The narrator is not great or terrible. She is just ok. She paused sometimes, which led me to believe she was ending a chapter, when really she was still in the middle of sentence. The book was still enjoyable, and her pronunciation was well.
The first 3/4 of the book fell in line with the rest of the great triology. The last 1/4 was torturous to even finish and made me regret reading the series at all!
The complex relationships were interesting. Much of it became boring in this last book though.
Not re-read this series!
I don't know what happened to this series, as it was so strong until this last book. Sigh.
Not losing interest or being able to find a good stopping place because it just kept drawing me in without yawn breaks.
The near end...for spoiler purposes, I'll leave it at that.
Yes! I split it in two days though.
One of the best YA books I've ever read/listened to. I am eager to see where this series goes! Definitely not the same take on other common post-apocalyptic storylines. Refreshing in that sense and just very well written and performed!
On the top shelf! One of the best I've listened to or read in a long while!
Four...love the variations and draw of him.
The carousel climb.
Yes. Attention demanding and good storyline.
Maybe the Divergent series as far as audience grabbing, but not the same character or story.
Yes, but I made it a few days.
Parents of young (and multiple) kids who are not yet familiar with Jim and want to relate in a comedic, raw, and honest way parentally. My kids are older now so I fell asleep to this book in spite of loving Jim already.
Jim, I love you still and appreciate your place in life. I'm just not there now and needed more humor outside of your specific place, though I can imagine I'll have to wait a while as you are being demandingly blessed by constant spousal fertility. ;-)
