Very believable cast (especially motives and back story). The most unbelievable things were some items of the ice station Gendel's backstory (some things not mentioned in the teaser [hint = involving co-operation], so I'm not writing a spoiler, just a review). I do not know much about the life sciences, but he made things sound so believable. There were some things in the end that I didn't expect to happen (but the good kind of surprised). Amazonia is still the best he wrote IMHO.
Definitely worth the 1 credit.
... it's the first 19 chapters of Diamonds are forever then chapter 20 of Live and Let Die.
I'm demanding a refund. I will either get the credit returned, an undamaged copy of this book or the appropriate government agency shall get an email about this audiobook.
I loved this book. I originally had it on about 9 or ten audio cassettes, but I had lost them and I wanted to hear the story again. So much more detail than the movie. The only complaint about the book was the narrator mispronounced "Pass Christian" (it's 4 syllables, not 3... Christian sounds like the girl's name Christy Anne; not like the English word for a group of Religions that include Catholics, Methodists and Mormons). If this is my "only complaint" you can begin to understand why I gave 5 stars.
If you've seen the movie, you don't know the story in this book.
?Spoiler Alert?: (I put many hard returns to make it not immediately visible, just in case those who haven't read the book yet).
I love the irony of the Invisible Battlegroup (British vessels) protecting the Atlantic Coast.
