The story of a student who went to extraordinary lengths - including living in a van on a campus parking lot - to complete his education without sacrificing his financial future. In a frank and self-deprecating voice, memoirist Ken Ilgunas writes about the existential terror of graduating from college with $32,000 in student debt. Inspired by Thoreau, Ilgunas set himself a mission: get out of debt as soon as humanly possible. To that end, he undertook an extraordinary three-year transcontinental journey.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It is a good story. But the writing needs work. No wonder he was turned down by most graduate schools for writing.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    Was an expected ending

What about Nick Podehl’s performance did you like?

    Very good

What else would you have wanted to know about Ken Ilgunas’s life?

    Nothing

    Any additional comments?

The writer uses too many analogies. All you need to use is one to get your meaning across. I lost count of the times he would ramble on with 3 or more analogies for every situation. Yea, I got it on the first one.

Here is a tautly paced investigation of one the 20th century's most audacious art frauds, which generated hundreds of forgeries - many of them still hanging in prominent museums and private collections today. Provenance is the extraordinary narrative of one of the most far-reaching and elaborate deceptions in art history.

    What disappointed you about Provenance?

Reader made this terrible. Could have been a very good audio book, it had a very interesting story. But it was painful to listen to.

Would you be willing to try another book from Laney Salisbury and Aly Sujo ? Why or why not?

Yes. With a more exciting reader

Would you be willing to try another one of Marty Peterson’s performances?

    No!!!!!
