Some young ladies marry for money and social standing, a few lucky ones marry for love - but Tiffany Warren is marrying to end a feud. Honoring her mother’s promise, Tiffany reluctantly travels west to meet her estranged father and his enemy’s eldest son, rancher Hunter Callahan. Once the Warrens and the Callahans are united by marriage, both clans will stop squabbling over a disputed strip of land. In the chaos of a train robbery Tiffany seizes a golden opportunity. By assuming the identity of her father’s new housekeeper she can live with the father she never knew and assess his true character, as well as that of the neighboring cowboy to whom she is betrothed.

What would have made One Heart to Win better?

I have read and/or listened to almost all of Johanna Lindsey's books. This was very disappointing. No where near the quality of her previous books. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually written by someone else.

What didn’t you like about Meredith Mitchell’s performance?

    I thought is very boring

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Not really

Lottie just knows that her boyfriend is going to propose during lunch at one of London’s fanciest restaurants. But when his big question involves a trip abroad, not a trip down the aisle, she’s completely crushed. So when Ben, an old flame, calls her out of the blue and reminds Lottie of their pact to get married if they were both still single at 30, she jumps at the chance. No formal dates - just a quick march to the altar and a honeymoon on Ikonos, the sun-drenched Greek island where they first met years ago. Their family and friends are horrified. Fliss, Lottie’s older sister, knows that Lottie can be impulsive - but surely this is her worst decision yet.

Would you consider the audio edition of Wedding Night to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version, but the narrators where great. I feel like they added a lot to the story.

What other book might you compare Wedding Night to and why?

I have listend to many other Sophie Kinsella books. They have all been good, but this is now my favorite

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They did a great job of conveying the emotions of the characters. I also love the English accents.

    Any additional comments?

I wish the story could have gone on and on.

Min Dobbs knows that happily-ever-after is a fairy tale, especially with a man who asked her to dinner to win a bet. Cal Morrisey knows commitment is impossible, especially with a woman as cranky as Min Dobbs. When they say good-bye at the end of their evening, they cut their losses and agree never to see each other again. But Fate has other plans.

    "Completely predictable"
    Overall

This was the worst book I have purchased from Audible. The narration was fine, but the story was one of the most predictable and contrived stories I have every heard. I don't think there was an original thought in this whole story. A complete disappointment. I would never purchase anything from this author again.
