I had listened to the complete series of Zombie Fallout, with Michael Talbot as the central character, and was surprised to hear that again he is the central character here also, and with the same remaining characters as the Zombie Fallout. The part that makes this book special, is that mark Tufo has not made this a follow up to the Zombie series, but a whole new storyline. It takes imagination and talent to put something like this together, and the story is gripping. I cannot wait for the second book to be released.
I absolutely loved the series, and have also started the Lycan books too (maybe too early), and this book is no exception to the quality of both the story and the Sean Runnette's narration.
The big negative I found was that it reminded me of the Twilight movies, where the last version was split in two to drag the story out, which may or may not have been the case, as the public were no doubt eager to get Mark's new chapter, but the story suddenly ended and left me wanting.
I think I would have been happy to wait another six months for the complete story (of this chapter anyway), and certainly hope that the second half of the book comes out soon.
Did not realise it was in documentary format, and was unsure, but loved driving just so I could listen to the book - haven't seen the movie but I am sure that it would not have spoiled the story, as it was written as a post mortem of the total outcome of World War Z, with the main character not being part of the actual story body, but the story teller.
