My name is Peter Grant and until January I was just probationary constable in that mighty army for justice known to all right-thinking people as the Metropolitan Police Service (as the Filth to everybody else). My only concerns in life were how to avoid a transfer to the Case Progression Unit - we do paperwork so real coppers don't have to - and finding a way to climb into the panties of the outrageously perky WPC Leslie May.

"a true joy for the first book in ages"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this series with out a second thought.
I have never been the person for books i don`t have the concentration to reed them and i never have found a audio book iv found captevating to continiou to listen more than 10min until this series

What did you like best about this story?

For a first book this a true gem
The story is not to far from the real world so its easy to relate to, there is allways something that makes you understand whats going on.
The conection between the Police, the Magic and the Supernatural works so well, and the setting in the UK and London makes it perfect backdrop

What does Kobna Holdbrook-Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings the world and the people to life, his ability to do so many accents and to do proper female voice, gives the people a proper personalety and just makes them and the world more believable

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

probebly, iv been using at work and it makes the days go by so fast.
i allways look forward to going back to work so i can listen to the book again.
And i would listen to it in one sitting if i dint have work or had an holiday

    Any additional comments?

Get this book, its totaly worth it
