If you want to know how the ender series ends look on the web and save your money. I couldn't get through this book. This book and Xenocide should have been one book. The IS the most boring book of the series and just rambles on and on and on and on and on and on and....well, you get the point.
The reader's voice is fine. However, it's driving me NUTS to hear him swallow and make mouth noises in between paragraphs. When will these publishes start editing these annoying things out. If this type of thing bothers you too beware.
This book was well written and easy to listen too. It is also VERY smart and witty! I also thought the reader was perfect for this book. She makes it come alive as if SHE was really the one writing it. LOVED THIS BOOK! I'm hoping the author will do a sequel.
GREAT BOOK! I have read all the Ender books and I have to say that this book is the best one since Ender's game. I like it even MORE than Speaker for the Dead.
The latter books in the series just dragged on and on and on and I have to admit that it was a chore to get through Children of the Mind. I was afraid that this book would be the same but I went ahead and got it anyway and I am glad I did.
The characters in this book are so believable and landing on Shakespeare Colony has to be one of the greatest moments in this series! This book made me love and respect Ender more than any of them.
Kudos to Orson Scott Card.
Awesome book. Just became probably my favorite sci-fi books and now i've download the next book in the series, "Speaker for the dead" and am looking forward to reading it.
I couldn't get into this book at all and never finished it. It goes on and on and on describing the characters and just gets very boring.
The beginning of the book is fast paced at first and then it does seem to have some trouble holding your attention towards the middle of the book. But, ... it does liven up and get really good at the end. Overall, I think it was a great book and highly reccomend it to my friends.
