In order to save her mother, a teen is forced to become an indentured assassin in this sizzling dystopian thriller. No one reads the fine print. The good news is that the USA is finally out of debt. The bad news is that we were bought out by Valor National Bank, and debtors are the new big game, thanks to a tricky little clause hidden deep in the fine print of a credit card application.

What made the experience of listening to Hit the most enjoyable?

Well, I listened to it at work that is a great thing but the book kept surprising me when I thought I knew the way it was going, and the surprises were better than I expected.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hit?

The mobile home fire and what the implications of the items found in that mobile home.

Have you listened to any of Rebekkah Ross’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this is the first audio book of Rebekkak's I have listened too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure, I didn't plan it that way since I was listening to it at work, and I ran out of time, but I did finish it in one and a half sittings.

    Any additional comments?

I heard of Delilah S. Dawson through another author I follow, Kevin Herne, and I am glad I took his recommendation to read her books. She is a very gifted writer.

The ancient Druid Atticus O’Sullivan gets more than greasy corn dogs and flat soda when he visits a carnival in Kansas to which his apprentice, Granuaile, drags him. He runs across a barker with a strange power over the crowd: attractive women leave their men and disappear into an unmarked tent, never to be seen again, and the men wander away, forgetting that they ever had girlfriends or wives. When Granuaile falls under the barker’s influence and enters the tent, Atticus isn’t about to forget it and move on.

For nearly 2,000 years, only one Druid has walked the Earth - Atticus O’Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword have kept him alive as he’s been pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he’s got company. Atticus’ apprentice, Granuaile, is at last a full Druid herself. What’s more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do.

What would have made A People's History of the United States better?

Nothing can make this book better. I got it not knowing it was so anti american anti white man anti christian. I have studied history all my life and this book is off the charts when it comes to vile socialist propaganda.

What was most disappointing about Howard Zinn’s story?

He makes a mountains out of a mole hill when he can then does the opposite when he shouldn't.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic American novel of the Roaring Twenties is beloved by generations of readers and stands as his crowning work. This new audio edition, authorized by the Fitzgerald estate, is narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain). Gyllenhaal's performance is a faithful delivery in the voice of Nick Carraway, the Midwesterner turned New York bond salesman, who rents a small house next door to the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby....

Having never watch the television show, I thought I could listen to this book and learn what everyone is talking about. I guess you have to be familiar with the show to understand the book.

What was most disappointing about George R. R. Martin’s story?

It seems to me that the charactors in the book are not explained enough to those of us who haven't watched the show.
