All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

What disappointed you about The Dark Tower?

How badly it was written. It's like all the pain from the car crash scrambled his brain for a bit. The ending was at the tritely happy and tritely dark. Bad both ways

What could Stephen King have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Drop the other world language. Rewrite the whole thing

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?

    Mose

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It connected a lot of other King books together.

Thousands of autonomous computer programs, or daemons, make our networked world possible, running constantly in the background of our lives, trafficking e-mail, transferring money, and monitoring power grids. For the most part, daemons are benign, but the same can't always be said for the people who design them.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes it is a great techno-thriller and makes you think about technology.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Daemon?

The FBI assault of the compound.

Did Jeff Gurner do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I thought he was a little flat when he was reading, but that gave a noir feel to it.

The next-to-last novel in Stephen King's seven-volume magnum opus, Song of Susannah is a fascinating key to the unfolding mystery of the Dark Tower.

What disappointed you about Song of Susannah?

The story was ultimately pointless. King starts to put a lot of mystic lingo that is just antithetical to the spirit of the first books.

Has Song of Susannah turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No I read them all

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Yes George Guidall is great!

What character would you cut from Song of Susannah?

I don't really remember any characters.

    Any additional comments?

A sad sign of the last book to come.
