Allison Lopez is not your everyday Psychic Hotline operator. She's a real psychic with real abilities that seem to grow daily, thanks to her close association with an immortal friend. Now, as her abilities continue to grow, Allison meets a very strange woman who reveals a starling secret to her. Life, for Allison Lopez, is about to get even stranger... and more fantastic.

What made the experience of listening to The Witch and the Gentleman the most enjoyable?

    The story was light fun.

Did Francesca Townes do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I wasn't in love with the narration but it was okay.

    Any additional comments?

At times the story seemed a little jumpy in pacing and with the story line. A chapter would end and a new one begin without any obvious continuity.

Where does The Ghost Files (The Ghost Files - Book 1) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is an ok book. I liked the premise and parts were suitably creepy, although the live monsters were way scarier than the ghosts. My biggest complaint is continuity, several times parts of the audio file repeated so it destroyed the momentum when that occurred.

The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

If you could sum up Dracula [Audible Edition] in three words, what would they be?

A well performed telling of a horror classic. I really enjoyed delving back into this story and the cast did a great job.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I liked that they stayed true to the diary format of the original book, each cast member doing their own diary entries in turn.

If you could take any character from Dracula [Audible Edition] out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Mina would be my choice of dinner companion, brave and lovely.
