On this uniquely forthright and captivating program (recorded live), Sylvia Browne addresses the fascinating concepts surrounding angels and spirit guides. Every religion has angels, Sylvia tell us. Different from spirit guides, angels are spiritual messengers who are available to help us if we simply ask for their assistance.

I fell in love with Sylvia Browne after first listening to this amazing recording. She is witty, she is fun, she is so down to earth that you can FINALLY relax and realize: no, you are NOT crazy for not being able to keep your mind empty during those two meditation attempts and no, you are not schizophrenic for SENSING with all the square meters of skin on your body the presence of SOMEONE on the back sit of your car.

Yes, your Angels are with you.

    And the Spirit Guides, too.

Perhaps, they DO have wings. I was in the gym and HAD to stop tummy-crunches and laugh out loud (for the whole two minutes!!) listening to Sylvia describing how she learned about THAT fact. When I was listening to this book third time, I was STILL laughing at this and many other revelations from Sylvia.

The guided meditation she shared at the end of this program is my favorite ever for now.

You NEED this audio book, for the sheer example of light hart-ed attitude to life, filled with simple knowledge of the life beyond the veil.

I have listened to this book at least five times and am going to again :)

Financial Infidelity is the number-one problem in relationships - it's a deception so subtle you wouldn't even realize you're cheating. Whether it's a secret credit card, hidden shopping bags, revenge spending, a gambling problem, or more overt financial manipulations and powerplays, the infidelities associated with money can be just as damaging to a relationship as a physical affair.

Perhaps, this is not the right book to be listened as an audio. It contains a lot of lists and exercises; but the main point is: we ought to be honest with our partners about our feelings and expectations on relationships and life. Otherwise, it all goes to hell. the book helps to see the most difficult areas in financial field your marriage, and tries helping you to navigate over them.

The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them all they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it - from garden seeds to Scripture - is calamitously transformed on African soil.

You've either done it or know someone who has: the one-night stand, the familiar outcome of a night spent at a bar, sometimes the sole payoff for your friend's irritating wedding, or the only relief from a disastrous vacation. Often embarrassing and uncomfortable, occasionally outlandish, but most times just a necessary and irresistible evil, the one-night stand is a social rite as old as sex itself and as common as a bar stool.

I am not objective in my review, so my apologies for that. I have no idea, why and how I acquired this book, granted, that I am strongly against the stupidity of one night stands and "free" sex. So, I never even managed to listen this book for more than the first ten or so minutes.

Written by one of the most significant Christian thinkers of our generation, Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? explores the questions surrounding prayer that many of us wonder about but few of us know how to express. In For Married Women Only, pastor and author Tony Evans explores these three principles in a straight-forward yet encouraging manner. He unpacks the touchy topic of submission and lays out the rewards inherent in this biblical model. On seduction, Evans looks at the quality of attractiveness and how embodying it can be pleasing to your spouse and to God. And with surrender, readers will examine why a wife is the perfect helpmate for her husband and how to combat attitudes opposed to God's design.

Would you listen to For Married Women Only again? Why?

I will listen to this audiobook again, because the universal truth it contains can never be heard too many times. There is always some new situation to apply it to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of For Married Women Only?

That I already knew all the quotes, BUT never thought to apply them quite the way the author taught.

These 48 lectures take you on a journey through time and around the world-from the enormous auditoriums of ancient Greece to a quiet study in the home of a 19th-century New England spinster - to introduce the history of world literature. In this course, you'll sample some of the greatest literary expressions the world has known and experience storytelling in its many forms, including poetry, drama, and narrative.

I loved everything about this edition- the selection of books, the way the lecturer presented his material, and also his soft voice - which is a very important component when we are talking about some 26 hrs of listening! I HIGHLY recommend these lectures to everyone interested in literature and the way it was developing in our world.

Humans live in landscapes of make-believe. We spin fantasies. We devour novels, films, and plays. Even sporting events and criminal trials unfold as narratives. Yet the world of story has long remained an undiscovered and unmapped country. It's easy to say that humans are "wired" for story, but why? In this delightful and original book, Jonathan Gottschall offers the first unified theory of storytelling. He argues that stories help us navigate life's complex social problems.

Get's a bit dry every now and then, but still a fairly good listen for anyone interested in books. I was listening to it in between travels to four countries... so, it took me a while :)
