The Wheel of Time turns and ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the age that gave it birth returns again. For centuries, gleemen have told the tales of The Great Hunt of the Horn. So many tales about each of the Hunters, and so many Hunters to tell of. Now, the Horn itself is found: the Horn of Valere long thought only legend, the Horn which will raise the dead heroes of the ages.

What would have made Queen of Hearts better?

The narrator chose horrible voices for the character. My husband asked me to use earphones it was so revolting! The story was Christie- like but I had guessed the obvious perp very early in to the novel. Unfortunately, I bought 2 of these so I guess I will suffer through another but never get one again!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Katherine Kellgren?

    anyone else!

What made the experience of listening to The Luminaries the most enjoyable?

I went into this book for the historical fiction and came out of it thinking, that of the thousands of books I've read, this was truly written in the most original way.

The authour, by tying the character sections into the state of the moon, writing shorter sections as the moon waned, kept things moving along. At the end, a flashback explains all.

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Creole Belle begins where the last book in the Dave Robicheaux series, The Glass Rainbow, ended. Dave is in a recovery unit in New Orleans, where a Creole girl named Tee Jolie Melton visits him and leaves him an iPod with the country blues song “Creole Belle” on it. Then she disappears. Dave becomes obsessed with the song and the memory of Tee Jolie and goes in search of her sister, who later turns up inside a block of ice floating in the Gulf.

    Story
Where does Creole Belle rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love listening to Will Pattons melodic voice read the beautifully descriptive words of James Lee Burke. The man maked you feel like you're in the deep south living amongst the many real & flawed characters. You can feel the autumnal breezes, smell the flowers & sea air and feel the humidity as the story unfolds.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Right up until the end, you are never really sure who the 'bad guys' are; or rather, who are the 'worst guys'

What about Will Patton’s performance did you like?

And what a voice Patton has! Sometimes, if I'm having trouble sleeping, I put on one of his previous 'read' narrations so I'm not afraid of missing plot points, and I let him read me to sleep.
