Good story, keeps your attention - great for commuting in the car as the book is so darn loooonnnngggg!
Boring... Sadly the author sounded like a 10-year old boy bragging about killing and justifying it by calling people evil, and enemies. I do understand that he believed he was doing this for the 'good of our country' but its so sad...
Unfortunately there isn't really a story line here.... its all snippets of 'cool kills'. Ughh...
I should have paid attention to the one reviewer who said this book moved slowly. The story was OK at best but how long it took to tell it was painful. Tons of detail, little story-line.
Best book ever! One of those stories you didn't want to end (and I guess it hasn't because there's two more parts). I'm hoping parts 2 and 3 are as excellent as this,
Can't recall, story plodded along
Narrator had boring monotone throughout entire story. Many annoying instances of character interactions where one character is participating in a conversation while at the same time going off into their own thoughts... Author interspersed these thoughts within the scene and it comes off weird and distracting hearing this read aloud in that mind-numbing monotone.
Didn't like the male narrator's voice for the part - distracting - too much description of relationships/times that wasn't interesting at all
The voice didn't match the type of character he was portraying in my opinion
Didn't get far enough in be able to make that call
Definitely needs a livelier narrator - this guy sounds like some old man of about 80 years. Painful to listen to - I couldn't even make it past chapter 2. :(
