One wintery night on tiny, quiet Whidbey Island off the coast of Washington, Russ Douglas spent Christmas with his estranged wife, Brenna. He left Brenna Douglas's home in Langley on the morning of December 26, 2003 to run some errands. He didn't return - dead of gunshot to the head. The suspects included an aging beauty queen, her guitar-teacher lover, and Russell's widow, Brenna. With her trademark aplomb, Ann Rule unravels the fascinating story of a murder, a small town, and a number of potential killers.

This book is one of her worst books to date. It is so drawn out I found myself saying "Are we there yet?!" She repeats her self over and over so many times that I don't need to see the book to recite it word from word. Ann Rule REALLY?! Tell the truth were you reaching a deadline and said, "F@&$ it! They won't know the difference." I notice the difference and I want my credit back.

Marie doesn't need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother's house one afternoon doesn't agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now. But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she's not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse - she doesn't know his real name or where he lives, she's ninety percent certain he's a criminal and that the "business" he talks with her brother isn't website design.

Eww! That is what I say when this book comes to mind. Eww! The poor woman has been so abused that she thinks that being rape is a turn on. She gets out of one abusive relationship to get into another with a hot guy. REALLY B***H! Every sex scene I actually cringed. I felt like I was listening to some kind of warped lifetime movie... He only kidnaps and rapes me cause he loves me sort of thing. If this is what biker life is about, then no thank you. Eww!

Crazy Rich Asians is the outrageously funny debut novel about three super-rich, pedigreed Chinese families and the gossip, backbiting, and scheming that occurs when the heir to one of the most massive fortunes in Asia brings home his ABC (American-born Chinese) girlfriend to the wedding of the season.

Ignorance comes in ALL forms. It's your same 'ol story: two people from different worlds fall madly in love and the rich family doesn't approve. But, still this has new life in this story. So, it doesn't come off boring. It's actually very entertaining. The only problem was the ending, it just dropped. You build all this anticipation getting ready for the big climax and when your right there...nothing. Then your like S-O-B!! But, still a great read...or listen.

America's #1 true-crime writer reveals how lovers become predators, how sex and lust can push ordinary people to desperate acts, and how investigators and forensics experts work to unravel the most entangled crimes of passion. Extracting behind-the-scenes details, Ann Rule makes these volatile relationships utterly real, and masterfully re-creates the ill-fated chains of events in cases like the ex-Marine and martial arts master who seduced vulnerable women and destroyed their lives, the killer whose calling card was a red rose, and more.

I have found this to repetitive. Ann rule repeats herself to many times to the point where your like "okay, I get it!" This book is only good for road trips or something mundane like that.

Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

This book was great. The main character was a hot mess, but you still feel for her. The bad guy scared me. This story is about a girl with a taxing gift. She realizes that she isn't the only one with this taxing gift, and not all are nice. Between, this and her home life it takes a toll on her in every aspect.

A ship's pilot legendary for guiding mammoth freighters through the narrows of Puget Sound, Rolf Neslund was a proud Norwegian, a ladies' man, and a beloved resident of Washington State's idyllic Lopez Island. Virtually indestructible even into his golden years, he made electrifying headlines more than once: after a ship he was helming crashed into the soaring West Seattle Bridge, causing millions in damages; and following his inexplicable disappearance at age 80. Was he a suicide, a man broken by one costly misstep? Had he run off with a lifelong love? Or did a trail of gruesome evidence lead to the home Rolf shared with his wife, Ruth?

I really enjoyed this book. Unlike the others, this book doesn't ramble on and on. Some of the others I would fast forward just to get through it. The cases are interesting as well. It had a ray of different types of cases. I do recommend this book to those who love Ann Rule.

Once presided over by a flamboyant Hollywood mogul during the Roaring ’20s, the magnificent West Coast property known as Roseland is now home to a reclusive billionaire financier and his faithful servants. And, for the moment, it’s also a port in the storm for Odd Thomas and his traveling companion, the inscrutably charming Annamaria. In the wake of Odd’s most recent clash with lethal adversaries, the opulent manor’s comforts should be welcome. But there’s far more to Roseland than meets even the extraordinary eye of Odd, who soon suspects it may be more hell than haven.

Why are there hog people in the future. There's a time machine, can't we fix the past to fix the future?! Dean knootz- stop giving us these sci fi crap novels!!

This book is horrible. The narrator is like some whiny teen who tries her best to make the best of this piece of trash. I can't even finish this book it's so bad. The girl is extremely dumb and the guy needs to be locked away from society. What was the writer thinking when they decided that this was a good idea. WRONG!!

I read the reviews (warnings), but I bought it anyway. The warnings were actually the reason why I got it, they were intriguing. Usually, they are wrong. This is the first time I regret not listening to the reviews. This book is one of Dean Koontz's worst. I've read a lot of his books and usually I am very happy with my book, but not this time. The main character is ashamed of both his family and him self it's sickening. The lady is SO annoying. I think he must of been pressed for time on this book cause it SUCKS!
