I loved Will in Married Men and Diane got on my nerves. However in this book it shoes how the characters have progressed and shows that they have a hold slew of new problems. Mainly Mimi this chic was.... Well I don't want to give it away. Let's just say I couldn't stand her.Trent reminded me of Jay from Married Men except he took being a player to the extreme!!! Melanie got on my nerves a bit because she couldn't see through the person that was hating on her. Great job Mr.Weber!

Carl Weber is a New York Times best-selling author who’s made a name for himself with wildly entertaining works marked by his trademark wit and storytelling panache. In The Choir Director, Bishop T.K. Wilson is banking on dynamic new choir director Anthony Mackie to reverse the failing congregation’s fortunes. But while Anthony’s got more than enough chops to raise a heavenly chorus, he’s also got a weakness for the ladies that could make the Devil himself stand up and take notice.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Carl Weber is one of the best! His pen game is crazy! I hate that Monique didn't follow a basic rule... "Verify." I'm so glad to know that James Black was a blessing to others all the way to the end. I'm so glad that Old girl finally got caught in all of her lies. Can't wait to listen to part two.

Pearl Baines is a straight Harlem stunna. She and her twin sister, Diamond, are chased by some of the most notorious ballers in New York City. But while their father, ex-gangsta Irish Baines, devotes his life to rehabilitating young thugs, his sexy twin daughters fall hard for the glamour and glitter of strip clubs and street life. Unlike Diamond, though, Pearl is able to shake off the trappings of the hood in search of a better future.

Noire did an excellent job with this book! For once the main character wasn't man handled to the point of me having to put the book down. Finally a great story line where the heroine actually takes charge and kicks butt! I loved it! I did hate that she had to use her body to seek revenge. I felt like Noire could have been a bit more creative in that department. All in all I'd recommend it.

Madison Tyler thought a man like Granville Washington could fulfill her sexual desires and her need for occasional male companionship. And as the owner of a multimillion-dollar multimedia firm, that’s as much as Madison wants or needs right now. Granville is desperate to hold on to Madison. The harder she tries to end contact with him, the harder he fights to stay connected to her. He knows she doesn’t love him the way he loves her - she’s repeatedly said so - but if she takes time to get to know the man behind the muscles, he’s convinced she’ll agree that they’re perfect for each other.

Grandville was CRAZY!!!! Madison was selfish, shady and did I say selfish? I wanted Loretta to end up with a man I'm just not sure if Chass was the right guy... Anyway this was a fantastic book! Ripped from the pages of Carl Weber's New York Times best-selling Family Business series comes a solo story about his most popular character to date - the bright, sexy, and deadly Paris Duncan. Join Carl Weber and Eric Pete as they go back in time and take Paris Duncan to Europe, to the finishing school where she meets her first true love, makes her first real enemy, and commits her first crime. Listeners will get a thrilling inside view into the events that made Paris the lovely but lethal woman she is today.

Now I'll be the first to say that I love all things Carl Weber. However this book missed the mark, primarily because of the ending. I thought it was interesting to get a look at Paris and Rio before they became fierce divas. However I didn't really learn anything new. Deducted points because the book didn't end the way it started. I hated that!!

It's the charge of former Union Major Raimond Le Veq to restore the lost wealth of his family. From the same author that brought you the Flint series, comes a new town...a new drama. Treasure Hernandez is back with her second street series chronicling both sides of Baltimore's black market. Derek Fuller is the head detective of the Baltimore Narcotics Division. His team has been assigned to take down the biggest drug operation in the city. There's only one problem...the head of the operation is his twin brother, Scar Johnson.

This series has to be one of the best I've read this year! There was so much drama! I don't even know where to begin... I loved Derek I hated Scar and Tiffany was stupid as hell!!! There were so many twists and turns.. What an amazing ride! This was my first listen by Ms. Hernandez however it definitely won't be my last. I have to admit that I was really skeptical of the series when I didn't see any reviews. However I'm glad that I purchased this.
