  • Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism

    • ABRIDGED (6 hrs and 19 mins)
    • By Ann Coulter
    • Narrated By Ann Coulter

In a stunning follow-up to her number one best seller Slander, leading conservative pundit Ann Coulter contends that liberals have been wrong on every foreign policy issue, from the fight against Communism at home and abroad, the Nixon and the Clinton presidencies, and the struggle with the Soviet empire right up to today's war on terrorism.

    Mark says: "A bizarre phenomenon"

I found the information enlightening, the topics engaging, the whit endearing and the juxtapositions eloquently made! Well worth your time! I only wish it could become a standard text in history classes; however, considering the majority of those teaching these courses I won?t hold my breath!

  • Bloodfire Quest: The Dark Legacy of Shannara, Book 2

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 56 mins)
    • By Terry Brooks
    • Narrated By Rosalyn Landor
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The quest for the long-lost Elfstones has drawn the leader of the Druid order and her followers into the hellish dimension known as the Forbidding, where the most dangerous creatures banished from the Four Lands are imprisoned. Now the hunt for the powerful talismans that can save their world has become a series of great challenges: a desperate search for kidnapped comrades, a relentless battle against unspeakable predators, and a grim race to escape the Forbidding alive. But though freedom is closer than they know, it may come at a terrifying price.

"Enjoyable but too much left undone for my liking"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes - In true Terry Brooks fashion the story is strong, the characters well developed and the plot intriguing. I would recommend listening to previous Shannara series to have the best background and not just the previous book in this series.

What did you like best about this story?

    Well written, well read.

Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She’s a very good narrator; the only thing I had issue with is I can't listen to her at 2x or 3x speed for some reason. Not sure why.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Shannara, the saga continues..... just not in this film!

    Any additional comments?

I liked this book and Brooks ranks up at the top on my list of favorite fantasy authors. That said, I feel like there wasn't enough closure to any of the story lines. If it wasn't for the indication at the end of part two that this was the end of the book I would have thought I'd forgotten to download the entire book. I feel like Bloodfire Quest’s true purpose was just to get me a bit further down the road in the story and to sell more books (which I'm completely fine with, by the way.) Now I'll have to endure the long wait until August for the wrap up but it will give me something to look forward to. I'm sure Witch Wrath will be well worth the wait. I'll be downloading it the first day it's available on
